Well, you are wrong, certainly about those you blithely declare as 'Far side of the political spectrum.' This forum is dominated by left wing opinion, which is fair enough, to each their own, and to a man/woman all defence of the BBC comes from that side, again understandable, as it chimes with their stance.
Alternative platforms are rubbished, and claimed they're filled with fascists/racists/ gammon etc; anything to disparage, which makes me smile, as it doesn't reflect the majority. The recent move away from the BBC, which is growing apace, is a relatively recent phenomenon, this body was respected domestically, and internationally, and there is still, even amongst its detractors, a fondness for it, but this is fast slipping away.
We have heard Maitliss presenting her opinions as fact, we have seen talk shows dominated by the left, any 'Comedy' or comedians, are also dominated by politics, all from one side, unsurprisingly, these have miniscule audiences.
Investing in a new TV programme now is very risky, online platforms have many competitors, so they must have done their research, as the cost is enormous. Personally, I think it will succeed, a view which others with a similar view, but different politics, seem to agree with, as the attacks prior
to its release are showing, apple carts may be overturned.
