So this proposed conscription, say an 18 year old decides they will serve the colours for a year, farewell party the night before drops a couple of E's or has a bit of weed, fails the CDT, DISHONERABLE Discharge, does that count as his "service"?
Or get an intake of new conscripts, what wages will they Get? How many chef's will be employed to feed them? How many front line troops will be redeployed to train them (arms training, PTI, Driving instructors etc)...after basic infantry training, can they specialise in a trade?
Or maybe we can use those who don't want to join the Army (other "lesser" services are also available), maybe they can be USED by Thames Water or other party donors for slave Labour every weekend for a year to clean up sewage spills

And the student who works every weekend to help put them through university will now have their income cut by 25%?

To be fair (and no, i am not going to make a habit of that), openly supporting an opponent in a general election is fairly much the same as resigning
