Thanks for asking mate, he just been discharged to same care home as his wife for respite care. He's little better on his feet and to stay there for a month. Family trying to convince him to remain there as think much better environment for him.

In his first few days they had a day trip to pub in countryside and he's had haircut. Wouldn't have had any if these if in his flat. He is literally across hall from his wife's room so can pop in to see her any time. Although she doesn't even know he's there due to her dementia
 
Have you thought about a little holiday while he is being looked after, you’ve been through the wringer doing your best for him, time for you ob.
They do things in good care homes everything is taken care of trips out and entertainment for the patients Xmas tree and carols.
So no worries make time for you now

We had weekend in Brighton thanks mate. Yea his wife been in home for 5 years. She doesn't get out much though

When we hold eye contact and i see how it is as a grown up fox and how beautiful it is it a fantastic feeling, most people have never seen an alive badger or a fox up close so i know how lucky i am, i love seeing them as babies and how they grow, i can tell them all apart, see the family dynamics and who is in charge and who takes the food to the babies before they eat themselves, i love it so much, it is like therapy

At last, we have a fox living in our garden. We were disappointed to find when we moved that there were no foxes, given that we had loads previously. But we are much uplifted by our new arrival. Hoping for cubs in the spring.

If i could go back and start my life from 17 yrs old i would, having left home and started nursing , freedom from my shite parents finally with loads of other in my class in the same boat, we had so much fun! , i guess everyone looks back at our young selves when we become foc's or in bad health , this year has been hell with no end in sight but i am in better spirits today

That is great lovely, they are such a tonic when you are not well, fingers crossed you get cubs

Thanks for that. There are many studies into it now...I read about a new one every week. I'm just waiting for it all to be official and the right treatment will become available. I think it will come down to antiviral meds like HIV medication.
So far, I know my Long COVID is down to the virus particles remaining inside me. That means the immune system won't go back to rest like it normally does after having a virus....that leads to other problems like fatigue. So i think the antivirals will be the long term answer.
Again...thanks for giving a shit. Most people don't.
 
Just had a kid come up to me in Ashton town centre saying he's homeless and suicidal.
Luckily there was an ambulance parked outside a takeaway 50 yards away and a paramedic there.
I was only out cos I needed a walk desperately.
I went out to a gig last night and felt OK this morning but had a nap this afternoon and woke up with the demons snapping at my heels again.

Terrible day today
Went for brisk 90 minute walk but still feeling awful
Told my brother that I'll need to delete myself if things don't change soon
I'm pretty sure I need electric shock treatment
I can't be withdrawing from one medication and trying another it's just dragging on and on and on
It's absolute agony
I never knew depression could be this bad its just evil

Was sitting on train think how happy I used to be. Life and soul of the party. First to turn up last to leave. First on everyone's list of invites

One of my party tricks was I could literally tell a joke about any subject when asked. In random pubs my friends would pick a subject or even asked someone else to.

I was always like that and when I watched Marvelous (story of Neil Mellor) and he said 'I always wanted to be happy so I was happy '. So I decided I would always be happy

Now due to changes in work after COVID when all my friends left hate going in, working from home not just so bad but I just don't like the people I work with

My anxiety has stopped me going to football, gigs, meeting up with friends on numerous occasions

I'm 63 (almost 64) and worry I don't have enough to retire until I'm 67 and not sure I've enough energy to work for another 3 years

Yesterday I decided I'm going to try and be happy again

Not even sure if what I've written makes sense

Those who are fortunate enough not to have to tolerate the torture of depression somehow aren't aware of the immense distress out there
How can they be so fucking ignorant ?
 
Just been to pick up my monthly prescription, only to be told there are none of my beta blockers left in the country!
The Propranolol meds that I've been on for 30 years now and clearly state on the packet "do not stop taking suddenly". The doctor has to find "a suitable replacement". I'm worried.
Why would there be a "shortage"?
