Harry Kane

Forget girlfriends just think about lifestyle.

Covid has forced us all in our homes for the last 18 months.

Think of both Silva and Laporte the culture/weather they are used to, their families far away.

Living in a tower block in Manchester is difficult for a local, never mind these guys.
I totally agree, but I was looking deeper as he reportedly wanted to leave 12 months ago.
If he goes I think we will push hard, very hard for Kane.

Yes it's irrelevant as we're not signing him.
You constantly imply Pep prefers Kane over Haaland as if he told you that personally. And then you say Haaland isn’t available this summer. There is a contradiction there. It may be that Kane all along was the backup and like Chelsea we came to the conclusion financially the numbers wouldn’t work and decided for a plan B that still made sense.
Think you’re on his ignore-list.

You can see why they're looking at so many English players. City is a final destination for all of them. In a post Brexit, Covid world, it is probably wise.
Yeah it's a good strategy and apparently had a German core at Bayern and a Spanish one at Barca. Can see the logic in him trying to build an English core to us for his next team.
Never remembered to ask, what did you think of Pep talking about Kane in the press conference? Think he'll start doing that now or is it a one off?

It's nothing to do with "hype", it's to do with numbers, plain and simple. He's broken several CL goalscoring records and he has the speed of an olympic sprinter. He's clearly a better striker than Kane.

Irrelevant anyway as he's shown his main motivation is money. He'll end up at United.

Right now I don’t agree Haaland is better than Kane.

I don’t trust what I see as I don’t see enough so I look at the data the same as City will do as part of their analysis.

One of the most important stats is the difference between Actual Goals and Expected Goals. Right now..

1. Messi
2. Kane

Also Kane creates more than Haaland and fits how we play better which is why Pep prefers him for City.

I think Haaland will be a better Striker than Kane ever was in the future but that is a guess and City want the best now while Pep is still here.

Then we get to the fact that Haaland isn’t going anywhere this window and anyone that tries will fall foul of FFP. I can see a bidding war next year for both fee and wages despite the buyout clause. His agent will insist on another buy out clause so he can repeat the same trick over and over. His agent and his father also want to get paid huge bucks over and over too.

All in all Haaland comes with loads of baggage. To contradict myself in terms of not believing what I see I think Haaland looks a generational talent and I’d love to see him here but when we played Dortmund he hardly touched the ball and it was Bellingham that shone.

Everything taken into consideration right now and, living in the real World, Kane is a better bet than Haaland. Not as exciting true but still better and, if this is also @BillyShears point, then I have to agree with him.

This is our second year in a row targeting Kane for transfer. If we wanted Haaland then we would have gone for him. We've never gone for him.

Fair enough. But he's not the first foreign player to play for Manchester City, how do players cope with such hardships at top clubs then? Do they simply just get an exit or move after a bad season? He does know getting a move isn't easy, so all I'm saying is, he should have all his focus on the club. If he goes, good luck to him, but it's would be a very disappointing exit to say the least, and the manner of it as well.

I think most will be disappointed if Bernardo leaves.

Being without the immediate and close family and friends in a foreign country during the lockdown for 18 months must of been horrendous. My son had to work in the outskirts of Vietnam for 11 weeks it did his box in even though it was all bed and work. Even having to eat breakfast and an evening meal on your own.
