Harry Kane

As a kfa, my views are of zero weight, but, it seems Pep does not pursue one-trick ponies. An out-and-striker or "goal-hanger" as they used to be called, would be a first, imo, even our keeper is dual purpose. A move that ends with a pass into the net is a Pep dream, which we have achieved many times but getting rare, in fact goals have become rare at times. A further issue is being able to maintain a high press for 90 minutes, which introduces age into the discussion. Life was simpler when we had a speed-merchant on both wings and a world class finisher, with a world-class play-maker conducting the orchestra. Seems a long long time ago now. If we sign anyone, he will have to tick most of the boxes to meet Pep's criteria, imho, not sure HK does.

When you say kfa do you mean about Kane? Because that has to be the least accurate description of him I've ever read.

He literally got more assists than De Bruyne last season, the only way I could imagine you've come to the conclusion he's a one-trick pony is if you've barely ever seen him play and are just guessing based on him being a tall English striker.

Fingers crossed its Bernardo and not Laporte. Losing Bernardo is sad but we can manage. To lose Laporte would leave us seriously short.

And that is from somebody who thought it might be a good idea to get rid of Laporte a few weeks ago!

Yep, without Bernardo we still have four players who can play at 8 plus plenty in the academy, and six who can play on the right plus a few in the academy. Good player and nice guy but our squad is no weaker without him thanks to Grealish signing.

Positive news at last, but spurs we have still to agree a fee with hopefully khaldoon will be on the blower to levy reminding him that city have friends in high places, and they need money to service certain debts accrued..

We will have agreed with Kane, weeks, if not months ago.

The issue is the fee which still hasn’t been resolved.

No, he’s saying ‘positive news at last’ as if we’ve finally managed to agree terms or something.

Then he instantly said "but Spurs we still have to agree a fee with".

Not sure what the positive news is supposed to be. On here if you just say "I've heard positive news" everyone loses their shit as if you're Khaldoon himself and you've just confirmed it.

Noticed Palmer played inside when he came on on Saturday. Pep was very keen on making sure his reaction to losing the ball was good.

Short and easier to understand version.

There isn’t any positive news at last as yet.

Grealish came to Manchester on the evening of Wednesday 4th. Medical the next morning and unveiled later on Thursday 5th August.
So by Wednesday this week will determine if we get Kane IMO....
