2 nights at Loch ness then 2 nights at fort William , going up Ben Nevis and booked on a steam train out to the west coast
 
You could easily spend that time just in Florence, which is incredible. Make sure you eat loads of gelato.
Of course. We find that we do things much quicker than the guidebooks say, but we enjoy the architecture more than museums.

We were originally just doing Pisa and Florence but when EasyJet cancelled our flights, we saw an opportunity to come back via Rome. Really excited about this trip.
 
A couple of years ago we paid £4 a night! Mind you it was at the top of a bloody great hill cost us more in taxis to save the walk up the hill
Always book direct with hotel don’t use booking .com or other sites and you’ll always get a great price

That's simply not the case.

Some hotels will sell direct cheaper than via consolidators, but the majority of hotels/chains are often more expensive when booking directly with them.

They rely heavily on distribution.
