Any updates with this or was it all just paper talk?
No , he has already signed, agreed , done and dusted, I read it on the transfer thread, must be true.

Numbers ?
Lot of games & Foden still a kid, so is likely to hit bad spells, or need time out, Gundogan not the best injury record, Fern old, KDB needs looking after, Bernardo been a bit shot, just an extra quality option maybe ?
I just don't understand how a net expensive signing doesn't leapfrog Foden in the pecking order. And he's already wasted the vast majority of this season playing second fiddle to a declining David and an unspectacular Gundogan.
The numbers could be made up with an academy player similar to Garcia.
This kid would give KDB rest but not sure it will happenAouar will be the replacement for Silva. Different kind of player to Foden, who poses more of a threat on goal. Aouar will be the player who finds the space between lines and the one who threads the needle. I imagine one of the reasons we offered Silva a one-year extension was that he could have passed on his expertise.
We haven't given enough games to any young midfielders, to test that out though.
I would be looking at a Fernandinho type player personally but I can imagine why Pep might want another kind in there.
He has alluded to Foden maybe playing deeper sometimes, too.
Well that's the other way I could see this guy working. If he comes in and we convert him into a sort of hybrid who can play as a holding midfielder then we've effectively got a future Gundogan replacement. But then I don't know if we'll be sat here a couple of years down the line complaining about his lack of defensive prowess.
He'll have to accept it if he signs for City.

Juventus will snap him up

Foden's already getting picked ahead of Mahrez and Bernardo in big games, doubt he's gives a fuck about Aouar coming in.
If we replaced Gundogan, Otamendi, Garcia & Zinchenko in one window, I'd shit myself to death out of pure happiness.
Meh, who needs that kind of thing.
Unless we're losing Bernardo or Ilkay then I just don't see much point in it.
But he's got extra competition on the wings now.
What a shameful statement to make. I really doubt that you are a true City fan if it would be a dream summer if two City players who have given good service to the club both on and off the field were the leave at the end of the season.would be a dream summer for outgoings mate. Most notably Otamendi and Gundogan.

I sometimes wonder what has happened to our fan base since we became rich and successful.
Over the years (40+) an element of the fans have picked on a particular player at every opportunity and it’s part of the club‘s fan base I hate.

Purely on numbers if we buy a centre back, Aouar, and a forward then as far as I can see to get to 17 non homegrown 3 have to go, most likely Otamendi and Zinchenko would be 2 either Bernardo or Gundogan would need to be the other.Well that's the other way I could see this guy working.
