Huddersfield (H) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Why are the metrolink staff letting drunken cunts onto the tram with pint pots and beer bottles? Surely they have a duty of care to their passengers? Not asking you pal, just responding to your post
I agree.
A a starter for ten, they should ask them if they’ve got a ticket.
Really poor today.

Ben Jackson Huddersfields Left back played against my sons team (I was coach) at junior level.

Also saw him playing for Darlington not so long ago so hes done really well.

His dads a Blue so at least he can now say hes scored for City.

We could have scored 10 again if we’d really wanted to. They were one of the most inept teams I’ve seen in years. Absolutely devoid of any ideas, skill, technique or game plan

I can’t believe there’s 3 teams below them in the championship. How bad must they be !?!?
They were good for the first two minutes

Straight foward wasn't it, once we got going. Good to see a few academy lads in team also, and KDB back ofcourse.
The Udders fans were an odd lot aren't they! quite predictable and boring with the usual chants so nothing new there . I can get booing opposing players for diving, but booing them after they've been fouled (one of whom was substituted due to injury caused by the foul)that was odd!!!

Muen and metrolink are announcing the violent assault as being after the match? I am sure it was before, or were there two assaults?

I saw the lad covered in blood before the match.
Also, during the same incident, a bigger lad was dragged off the tram who appeared to be knocked out.
Does anyone know what happened to him?

Matos - On loan from Chelsea... probably part of his brief to try to nobble a few of our boys.
A pity Dino wasn't still about, he would have sorted him out
That elbow was deliberate looking at that, ****.

What is telling in these instances is the players actions afterwards, he just carried on hoping it had not been seen, which it wasn't.

Assuming no VAR today because there are 2 Red card offences right here.

Tinpot backward Yorkshire cunts. Big brave men glassing a young lad on the tram, karma awaits

Is VAR in use for FA Cup games?

VAR will only be used in FA Cup matches held at Premier League stadiums. This means that 22 of the 32 third-round ties will not have the system in place.

Meanwhile the six top-flight clubs facing away games against lower-league opposition this weekend - Newcastle, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Brighton, Sheffield United and Burnley - will be in the unfamiliar position of VAR being absent from the decision-making process.

This has caused controversy in the past. Newcastle were aggrieved last season when replays showed that one of Sheffield Wednesday's goals in their 2-1 win was scored by a player who appeared to be in an offside position.

However, there was no VAR in operation at Hillsborough and the goal was therefore allowed to stand.

What happened when Gomez got his facial injury? Seemed a full blooded challenge that went wrong for both players? Did one or both slip? Not seen it back yet.

So did we have var today?
