Insanity work-out

Weigh day today and i've come in losing 3.5lbs this week, so that's now 9lbs in the 4 weeks of doing T25.

This week is the last week on the Alpha programme and then i move on to Beta.

I'm starting to feel a lot stronger and more solid up top with the weight i've shed and my body is now adjusting to the exercise programme.

Really enjoying it and it hasn't become a chore, which is an added bonus

Well done Dan.

Cheers mate

I'm not kidding myself, I should start to level off soon with the weight and hopefully start to tone up, I'm hoping the introduction of weights during the Beta phase will help with this?

Without trying to sound like someone who's just won an Oscar I'd also like to thank you and Dirty Harry with your help and advice with nutrition, it's something I've learnt a lot about in the last few months and has been a real eye opener, cheers

Cheers Dan,and you're welcome mate, unfortunately my knowledge has deteriorated in recent times as I've become less obsessed with training, however,i'll always do what I can to help.
DH is still right on the ball though and I too enjoy his posts, you never stop learning...!

I've got to find some motivation for a back workout in 20 mins, the double espresso hasn't quite hit the spot yet!

Jelly babies, Jaffa cakes?

I used to indulge on either of them before I went out running (back in the day) I found they gave me the kick up the arse I needed.

Enjoy your workout........

My 60days ended a week ago and I'm feeling great.

I was no way fat before (around 74kg) but I've still shifted a good 6kg's. I now look lean and feel extremely fit.

I would recommend this programme to anybody but you have to be committed to the workout schedule and the diet.

I stuck to the diet 6 days a week and had the occasional booze bender and still had great results.

My plan is to continue insanity for cardio sessions however I am looking at tackling one of the p90x programmes next.

Dig deeper people!!!

I'm in the 2nd month of P90x3 - I'm liking it. There are a couple of dodgy 30 mins episodes but overall it's a fantastic programme.

I was reading up online about p90x3 however lots of people appear to be negative about it.

What equipment are you using for it?

After finishing my insanity programme I took a two week breather to let my body recover a bit.

Today I did the Max interval Plyo DVD and wow, what a difference 2weeks makes!

My heart rate was sky high and I was struggling with it!

I made it through to the end but was shaking like a shitting dog. It's amazing how fast your fitness levels drop!

A set of dumbbells and a pull up bar (and a yoga mat)

Have you done the original P90x?
I really can't decide which one of them to do.

No I didn't (it's a time thing really I do about 90 mins of yoga a day so doing an hour plus on top of that would be too much)

Just thought I'd bump this.

Having been a lazy arse for a while I decided to get back on the waggon.
Did insanity last year, really enjoyed it.
I am now on week 4 of Beta phase T25. Absolutely loving it again and week 4 allows to to start Gamma phase early. Did Extreme Circuit yesterday which was fucking brutal but enjoyable. So got another 2 weeks on Beta and then on to Gamma for 4 weeks.
Looking forward to seeing the full results in another 6 weeks. I will consider the Asylum then or will rip insanity up once more.
Anyone got any diet tips. I do eat well but obviously training means I want more and more food all the time.
For example today I have eaten:-

Granola with Raisins
Fruit mid morning
Tuna with Tomatoes and Vinegar- Muller light fat free yoghurt
Fruit mid afternoon.
Chicken and Baked potato for tea.

Not sure if eating enough,to much or to little.
Any help would be appreciated.

No offence mate but i eat more than that in the morning

Get more vedge down you, don't be scared to eat more, as long as its proper food it will help your energy levels when you're training

Broke my arm a few months and lost a lot of fitness and put on some flab.

Tried insanity again last week but my arm isn't strong enough yet to be able to do the press ups without any pain.

So decided today to try hip hop abs and do some running until it heals fully. Hip hop abs is great fun (as long as no one watches). Very camp but a good laugh

Cheers pal. What do you snack on?

Brazil/almond nuts, greek yoghurt, anything with peanut butter on it

I eat to fuel my workouts and to repair my body after a workout

Today ive not eaten as much as usual but ive had protein pancakes for breakfast (3 eggs/2 handfuls of oats/2 scoops of protein), a banana and some nuts just before my workout on lunch, now im half way through a feta cheese salad with bulgar wheat.

Started T25 this morning, two months of inactivity pretty much since I finished Insanity. Put half a pound back on during that time, which I kind of anticipated with holidays and the world cup, but I am still a stone lighter than before I started Insanity, so eager to push on now. Not going to set goals, I know if I do it properly then I will get there naturally.

After six minutes I was sweating like Rio in the training ground toilets (allegedly), after 12 I had drained half a pint of water and by 18 I was barely following the modifier. Hard start but looking forward to tomorrow, half the battle at first is getting your form back and knowing what moves are coming up. Bit cheeky that the warm down is an extra 2 mins on top of the much promoted '25' mins, but at least you know the 25 mins is pure workout.

Although T25's meal plan claims to be more simple to follow, I think I am actually more comfortable sticking with the meal ideas I discovered through insanity - 5 meals a day, 300 cals each, heavy on the protein, and I may add in some meal ideas from T25 as I go along and get more familiar with it. That said, does anyone see any notable drawbacks to me not following the prescribed T25 meal plan? Really tempted to go back onto a banana pre workout, workout, then a protein shake post workout for breakfast. Worked well for me with Insanity, I don't think the ideas in T25 are that different really.

Oh, and anyone know where sells Tilapia fish and tempeh in the UK, or suitable alternatives? Thinking just cod or something, and tempeh looks like tofu?

Keep starting and stopping this but started again monday from the start.

Will try and keep it going for longer then any of my other efforts, really need to sort my diet out as well.
Had so much help from lads on here and I set out to do well and then it all goes wrong, going shopping tonight and going with the intention of buying no crap and hopefully really giving this a go!
