Irish referendum to repeal Eighth Amendment

Have any of the anti-abortion lot considered that if contraception was accepted by the church then then chances of unwanted/accidental pregnancies would reduce, thus the amount of abortions?

Also, a women on LBC was talking about ‘abortion on demand’, I don’t know the first thing about it but she made it sound like abortion clinics are going to start popping up everywhere. Like a new industry was about to be formed

How many people have abortions, never mind multiple? Can’t be that many, surely? All seems a bit unnecessary to me. Women made out to be murders. Funny that these anti lot preach religion and religions values, when it suits. Whatever happened to ‘be kind to you fellow (wo)man and all that - not that you need religion for that, of course

Are you mad, Manchester gets hundreds of Irish girls flying over to have an abortion. Clinics will start setting up in Ireland and coining it in if they charge I'm not clued up on there health care.

And I know someone who had 3 abortions last year alone mate. Will be more like her too.

I'd love the next referendum to be on banning both groups from referendum campaigns so that we could have a real debate. This never should have been a Yes/No campaign as everyone here with a brain knows it's needed in some form, it should have been a debate about what form the law would take. Personally I'm pro individual choice but felt there was a case for a shorter time limit than 12 weeks to protect disabled children, don't get a voice as it's either Yes or No to a chosen wording. Went Yes as the eighth unilaterally blocks any debate, but I'm not completely happy with the form it'll take.
A good post which lays out the fact it’s not completely black and white.
Laughable the English on here accuse us of only entering the 21rst century now when the fucking DUP props up their government.
Google them and donations to the Brexit campaign, then have a look at their dinasour denying shite!
