Think we can afford both Felix and Haaland tbh if we want to. Ferran sales makes it possible.
For me he’d be another Bernie, his close control looks very good and like Bernie once he has the ball it will be difficult to get it off him. I think he would fit this Pep team perfectly. As I’ve said before I think one from Sterling, Gabby and Mahrez is off in the summer maybe twoGot to agree, love Gabby but I think this just fits and makes sense, he’d be a perfect rotational player who would be more in the mould of Merlin than Aguero, however, he’d cause chaos in our system
There’s absolutely no evidence Pep prefers Felix over anybody. @tolmie's hairdoo said he would be presented BY THE AGENT as an alternative in case we can’t sign HaalandI’d prefer Haaland, but if Pep prefers Felix, I’m all in.
I trust Baldie implicitly. No questions asked.
Unless it’s Kane.
I can’t see why we couldn’t sign both Haaland and Felix, do the Sterling, DeJong swap with Barca so Frenkie replaces Fernandinho, bring in Felix as a sterling replacement, Haaland as the Ferran replacement and sign a left back to replace Mendy.
It’s been all over the media that we will be in the market for a striker, Fernandinho replacement and Mendy replacement. I don’t see why it would be beyond possibility that we may decide to cash in while we can on Sterling or like others have suggested swap Gabby for Felix.you must be well good at football manager
Honestly i haven’t seen enough of him, but what i have seen off him he seems highly technical which would suit us but his goal record suggests he can’t lead the line for us and as a number 9 he is simpl6 not strong enough defensively and doesn’t press hard enough. He is however 22 so maybe pep could develop those skills.I really rate Joao Felix, but my only concern is how much his success would end up being down to suiting a Pep setup so much. After he leaves i'd have my doubts about his continued success. Hope im wrong there! Still would much prefer Haaland too.
I can't shake the feeling Mendes is still trying to get Bernie to Atletico.
You will recall the Saul Niguez bullet we avoided last summer, as part of a proposed swap?
Hideous.
Not sure that's fair, Felix was a budding superstar too at Benfica and he did help Atletico win the title. Maybe he just needs a coach who believes in him more???Haha! Seems like a proper City thing to do in fairness.
Keep us dangling at the prospect of signing a superstar only to bring in somebody a couple of levels down instead.
We can't do that SR, he's a liferWe could swap Mandy with the C-Wing left back.
His wife staying here...They can fuck right off.
I’m not suggesting Pep does want Felix over Haaland. There’s absolutely no evidence Pep prefers Felix over anybody. @tolmie's hairdoo said he would be presented BY THE AGENT as an alternative in case we can’t sign Haaland
I would also like to point out that Pep wanted to sign the kid in 2019, before he worked with Simeone. Doesn’t mean it’s the same now. Pep admires Simeone a lot (may be shocking to some, I know...) and I’m sure the way Felix has worked (poorly) at Atleti influences his current valuation
Felix to replace MahrezAs I say, just a nagging doubt.
Want Bernie to be here for the rest of his career.
Loved him in 2012with how de jong is playing hes definitely getting sold but will city actually go for him is the question
He didn’t have Pep when he was wowing everyone at Benfica.
Whoever replaces Pep is going to be as close a match as we can get, they’re going to be au fait with false 9s and the like.
Aye, but with all due respect, wowing at Benfica isn't wowing in the Premier League. And with all due respect to whoever replaces Pep, they're not gonna be Pep.
Luis Enrique if avalaible will be good for city after Pep. Same philosopy, winning mentality and strictness that keep Barca fine after Pep left back then.
It will never truly be able to replace Pep but still a good replacement for him.
