Yes he has none is what i was getting at - Comes across as thick as two short planks as well - just dont like the guy and it will be an insuttl to Sergio's legacy to have him take over in my opinion (not that there is any room for sentiment in football I suppose)
I think Pep won't mind if he can't put two words together if he consistently hits the back of the net.

I see where your coming from about Sergio but thats through very blue tinted glasses and sentiment, nobody can replace what he has done for us.

No it isn’t. That is just league games. 206 league games in a little over 6 seasons. Probably around 33/34 league games per season average. There’s only 38.

He has 286 appearances in all comps for Spurs.

Aguero averages 29 league games per season....
And up to Pep arriving and making Sergio far more professional in terms of training/diet, he missed a crazy number of games.

His personality? He's clean cut, family man, never in any trouble off the field, sounds like the perfect Pep profile to me.

Kane is an absolutely top-class striker, I can't see what others are not?

I wouldn't want to see him leading the line for Liverpool or United, put it that way!

kane would also help with games like against arsenal where we can’t walk the ball into the net? A different type of striker than we already have as well? Would be ecstatic if we could get him to be honest, imagine him feeding off De Bruynes delivery..... :-0

We've had some links to the likes of Bentancur and Zakaria. Wonder if there is anything to them? Because another top class DM wouldn't hurt. Gundogan just doesn't cut it. Ferna is 35. And Rodri is still a question mark. I feel like giving Ferna an extension was a mistake. He could have made space for another DM.

I think Fern was entitled to a new contract due to the number of games played this season.

He wouldn't - Raiola has negotiated a £40m cut of his next fee - that makes his next move at least £150m.

City would not be party to giving Raiola that type of cut and we hate him in the first instance.
I thought Haaland has a 60 odd mil release clause so even with the 40m thats still not 150m?

I agree, it would not help us if he went to one of those clubs. As previously agreed, he'd be immense in our team.

I do think he is a bit overrated and injuries are a real concern but he would bag loads of goals for us and he'd link play well. Him in the middle of two speedy skillful guys would be a very potent front line.

Would love Kane here

Different to Serg but just as prolific

Oh and also Home grown and imagine the shit storm taking Englands main CF across the media.

I'm definitely in with this one.

Really hope all hope on Havertz isn't lost, but I'd love Joao Felix. Wanted him last summer and want him this summer. A simply incredible talent who went to the wrong club imo.

Probably pick Kane from any CF in the world myself. Yeah he has injuries but so has Sergio and hes not done bad for us.

No ceiling on the amount of goals he would score for us.

Unfortunately though i dont see Kane happening

Fern is entitled to a new contract, but if we won the CL, if I was Txiki or Pep, I might ask him if he'd like to see out that last year as player/assistant or in the staff.

He's 35 and he looks it, especially when he's been thrown back into midfield post-lockdown. Rodri is the future of the defensive midfield spot (and Gundogan in rotation) and if we get a top class CB, he's not going to play.

Definitely keep him at the club but he might be a bit of a spectator next season, and not going out on top.

Since 2017/18

Harry Kane 121 games 88 goals 13 assists.

Sergio Aguero 117 85 goals 21 assists.

I suppose you have to factor in Sergio playing in the best side in English football history, and Kane playing for Spurs.

But the main takeaway for me is that Aguero's biggest problem is injuries, and he's only played 1.3 games a season less than Kane. We will have the same issues if we replaced 1 with the other.

You also have to factor in the way teams defend against us and the way they defend against an average spurs team is very different.

I've seen plenty of sides park the bus against Pochettino's Spurs just as much as against us.

It's a bit of an odd myth that people think we're the only side that faces a packed 6 yard box.

Kane. Aguero. Torres. Jesus. Mahrez. Sterling. Unlikely, but that would only mean Jesus moves left and Torres stays right and Bernardo moves into the middle.
Given Pep has shown little indication about Bernardo moving centrally and Jesus going left, I’d be surprised if this move happens.
