Exactly this. We couldn’t get Kane done with no other suitors there’s no chance we have anything done with someone as in demand as Haaland. At best maybe we have agreed to a salary with him and that’ll just be Raiolas starting point when he forces us to renegotiate in January

I know people have ideas about Raiola, but if we have agreed something with him that he sees as advantageous for January, he could very well already closed that chapter. I think the whole PSG desperation just now was telling.

They play with one centre forward, they have Lukaku and Werner as their two CF options. Lukaku replaced Abraham and Giroud, he’s much better than both. They will be completing the signing of Kounde tomorrow to replace Zouma, and they already have two very good left backs, both better than Emerson.

I never wanted Messi or Ronaldo or Kane. Or Grealish - as good as he is and as great at City he'll likely be.

What I actually wanted was some sort of signings at positions we're in need of - long term world class striker, LB, midfield destroyer, and if Laporte leaves, CB. It looks very likely that we're not going to sign anyone into these positions.

I mean, if Haaland tell Raiola that he only wants us Raiola would do a deal to us because that is what a agent of Raiola's stature have to do, keep his clients happy. Tbh I'm not sure Mino would even be involved if Haaland had made up his mind, cause if im not mistaken Haaland actually has a norwegian agent, Raiola just got brought in to help with his move to Dortmund.

But the thing is, we wouldn't have chased Kane the whole summer if we had Haaland's word that he only wants us.
