I loved Bernado like everyone else, but he has lapsed into long bouts of inconsistency, great work ethic but not a lot at the end of it, also Mahrez great end to the season but again long bouts of inconsistency, and some players can have a full season of being inconsistent and then at the turn of a switch in a big competition be player of the tournament, one or two of these players may have to be sacrificed for big money signings.
 
Oh god here we go im a young blue so getting info normally never happens, scared to post since I don't want to get thread banned etc but Iv heard that Grealish to City is happening due to Grealishes agent, he sees Jack as the new Beckham and he can't be the new Beckham at Villa. This isn't about money for his agent he sees Jack as a brand since the euros his popularity has increased ten fold especially with young women. Some of the stuff I was told was that he's trying to get Jack in perfume adverts, Gucci, boohooman deals raybans etc. He doesn't want Jack to sign a new deal at Villa due to this, wants Jack to play champions league as more sponsors will come in.

Posting in good faith wouldn't post this as I'm not a ITK. But yea that's what iv heard

What exactly has changed from Bernardo out, Grealish in being a rumour? Nothing? What else has changed? Me saying Grealish would be a great replacement? Me saying in my opinion he's better? Bernardo hasn't hit the same heights with us since 2018/19, your argument is with same Lee and reporters who broke the news of him wanting out because he's unsettled.

So now you are saying that Grealish is a better player than Bernardo. Who you support again?

Fwiw I've stated in the thread before on what I think of Jack, fantastic player and most top clubs would love to have him. Villa have a great project under this new ownership and if he stays it will be great. Majority here won't be arsed if he doesn't come, half doubt his ability, half believe he's not a profile we need right now. But, in case he does move, of course, we will lose out Bernardo, and I believe it'll be an upgrade because he could really be something special in this side.

The rags wouldn't let you have a level headed conversation, for starters. Please don't compare them to us :-)

Yes, mate, you're entitled to believe you're good...and we're entitled to believe we can challenge for top 4 in the near future, and express that belief. I personally don't get into the 'we're massive' dick-swinging' debates, so don't aim that at me, ta! :-) Don't get why you'd be snippy about it. Humble doesn't come into your comment. Football fans, we're all dreamers, aren't we?

I think my reaction was more an accumulative response to a lot of nonsense, imo, that I've read on this thread about Jack, and Villa. United fans on RC were actually a lot more level-headed and 'humble', on the whole, about Jack when he was 'nailed on' to go there last summer, tbh. Guess it's all about expectations.

Reading your thoughts on him and our project, (hate that phrase, tbh :-)) maybe we're both sounding off at the wrong person. :-)

...and, yes, he'd look fantastic in your team. But this summer is not the time, imo, given where Villa are atm and who Jack is as a person.
