James McAtee

If Gundogan leaves, i'd keep James around next season.
He'd be a part of the squad and just learning everyday around top class players aswell as having the experience of playing this year, i think he could be an asset and save us a lot of money.

Steady,neat and tidy,first 45 mins.

They aren't getting the ball to him often enough which isn't unexpected.Hed have had a goal if their striker had picked the right pass.

Felt he could have got himself more involved (although looked like he might be under instruction to maintain a shape) but his talent is clear.

That is something I always feel when watching him at Sheffield United. He doesn't get on the ball enough, often further forward as a second striker rather than picking up the ball in a pocket of space and making something happen.

They do tend to fire balls long a lot which makes him redundant though.

A good loan for him overall though. Plenty of game time, without it being easy for him and he has been able to develop physically and get experience.

You and I have had a few disagreements over the years on here, but I'm most certainly humble enough to concede that you've been spot on with McAtee. He's the real deal.

Watching him tonight, appreciate it’s championship level and also a bit controversial perhaps, but for me he has a lot more potential than Palmer long term.
Tbf Cole hasn’t had much of a chance in his best position out wide. He played there v the cult and made Milner look 90 years old. But when he dies get the occasional opportunity Peo puts him in central midfield. Odd given he doesn’t seems to give Phil a go there

He played very well, driving with the ball on several occasions and starting attacks. He should have had an assist to go with his very silky goal.

His physicality and confidence in his body has grown massively during this loan.
With midfielders rumoured to be leaving in the summer, i would like to keep him in the squad next season.
Do you think that would be best for him or would you keep him there on loan and see how he does in the PL?
