Re: Javi Garcia (merged)

Unbelievable that our key players repeatedly let us down away yet the blame is still placed at a fourth choice midfielders feet.

If Yaya had played as close to his own known ability today as Garcia did (seeing as he's relatively reliable back up not a top player in the team) we'd have done a lot better.

Agree.

Re: Javi Garcia (merged)

Was it really Garcia to blame for our downfall yesterday? Yes, he was mediocre in every way, but he at least tried and hardly made a mistake. And yes, so far he's not turned out the player worth the money we paid for him (not his fault that we paid that sort of money for him by the way). Maybe some on here are just plain lazy and blame the player no matter what. We lost, blame Garcia. Even the MuEN are starting to make the lad a scapegoat.

Main reason for losing at Sunderland was a lame 45 minutes in which we gifted them a goal and installed the belive of getting a result against us.
On a individual basis, Yaya had another of his famous off-days, Richards again showed what a poor player he has become, Kolarov -however a decent start to the season- was celebrating his birthday too obvious, and Milner trying to add himself to the list of poor British players in our squad (yet having a much better 2nd half). Garcia was with the rest. Start there, not with Garcia.

Re: Javi Garcia (merged)

Hmmm Garcia, has a few sparks of intelligent play but he's not made for English football and especially is too slow to react. it's no coincidence that we tend to leak goals when he is asked to defend (out of his natural position) and in midfield which is his preferred position he's not that effective nor creative. Yes he is a weak link and his best game is average on comparison. Sorry Garcia, your cute smile has worn my patience thin...

Actually think he has one of the better work ethics at City, puts a shift in. Just... When he plays, it completely, completely kills the speed and shape of our play. Can't pass quickly, can't pass intelligently. Will take the simple ball every time which is often back to the CB's or sideways to Yaya.

And when you've got Yaya next to him, who himself can never be arsed in games like this, Garcia was a suicide choice. Should have been Milner and I don't even rate Milner that highly.

Garcia seems like a nice guy and he puts a shift in, sometimes the only thing certain fans on here care about tbh, but just doesn't have the quality, strength or the pace for the Premier League.

The worrying thing is for most of the fans and the media that was obvious from the first game he played pretty much. I agree with the argument that he deserved a second season, PL is a hard adjustment. But its just the same week in week out.

He is basically Scott Parker, who spurs got rid off because Scott Parker is an anachronism, and of no value to a top side.

No way he makes parker look like maradonna

Fat and drug addled?

Lol hes played well for the past few games. he has nothing to do with this loss and is an okayish backup player to have.

That is rubbish mate,

You obviously have low standards for us then as i expect us to have a lot better back up players than him.

Re: Javi Garcia (merged)

I think most have got this spot on. Yes he is no good. But he was in no shape or form to blame for yesterday's defeat. Emphasised by the lack of change in the 2nd half.

Re: Javi Garcia (merged)

Feel sorry for garcia, gives his all but nowhere near good enough. He's like a fish out of water in this league and you could see the confusion and bewilderment in his face when the horror challenge that nearly broke his leg went by with only a ticking off. He's not enjoying it here in england one bit. Needs to go
