Tell me a goalie that hasn't made a few mistakes?

the point is he keeps making the same mistake

which is a worry

if you wish to remain in denial and think you are a bigger blue than me because you never see any faults in our players then so be it
Can you name 5 better keepers in the world?
In the premiership alone Reina Friedal,Given.Casillas and Neuer on the world stage!

Ah yes, that must be why Roberto sold Given to Villa...

Hart is the best keeper in the Premiership bar none.

You're kidding, right?

I'll give you Neuer, but that's about all of that bunch. Hart is a top keeper, best in the Prem and one of the best in the world.

lack of concentration imo, had nothing to do all game.

probably the hardest part of his job now, keeping his focus all 90 minutes.
This I think is the problem. He has always kept for teams leaking chances constantly. Now he is needed only a few times a game. And that seems to have messed up his rhythm and reflexes.

He is just not as good as he was last season. I don't care what any blue says, he isn't!

Yes I still consider him a top keeper, and one of the best around. But he hasn't been great this season. He has been good at best.

He needs to get with the new program. He has to be able to stay cold all game and yet make those one or 2 decisive saves a game. And parried 25 yarders into the path of strikers is just not stuff the best goalies are made of.

He needs to take a page off the book of VIctor Valdes, who does this quite consistently. Stay cold for 85 minutes and make the crucial save that keeps Barca ticking.

After De Gea's early mistakes one of the excuses was that he had moved from a club where he had a lot of work to do, to one where he was only called on a couple of times per match. United solved that problem by learning to defend like Athletico.

But its obviously just as much an isuue for Hart given how much less work ke's been getting this season.

Re: Joe Hart

he also can't build up a rhythm or a confidence because he's only been called upon several times a match, so he could well be thinking about each chance too much which could be causing the mistakes which in turn leads to him being more unconfident each time he's tested.

it's not like he can pull off 3 or 4 great saves in a run and work on instinct and confidence, at the moment he's lucky if he has a shot to save every 15 minutes.

Re: Joe Hart

Lol at the guy that said Friedal was better than Hart.. says it all really

Made a couple of errors in technique rather than judgement. That will get better and wouldn't swap him for anyone.
Indeed! I'm more concerned at Kompany's mistakes than our goalkeeper's who wont come into his prime for another five+ years!

Add me to this list - Joe is the least of our worries. VK hasnt been great this season, i still love him as a player, but I am starting to think that the captaincy is weighing on his mind some.

A controversial but better candicate maybe Gaz Baz??

I had another possible theory after the Wolves game that despite Lescott being the better of the two so far this season (IMO), Kompany is perhaps a little more weary of cleaning up after him. He was superb in the derby, he always seems to love putting Rooney in his pocket. But then remove him from QPR, suddenly our defence doesn't know what to do. I'm wondering if he were to play alongside someone like Vidic whether or not we'de see him return to his imperious self.

I'm saying this just to have a fashionable bash on Lescott (I think he's almost perfect for the Prem and like him immensely), but I would be very interested to see a Kompany paired up with a current (not just potential to be like Savic) world class centre back.

Re: Joe Hart

I think our back four is just as good as it was last season. Just that now there is much less protection in front of them - De Jong's injury, Barry pushing forward more, and so on. Yaya has sat back at times but as good as he is, one of his weaknesses is that he cannot break up play very well and his lack of closing down was evident against Munich. We seem especially susceptible to incisive counterattacks like against Napoli where one minor mistake at the other end of the pitch cost us a goal as we had no one sitting back and when they broke it became 2 vs. 2 and an easy goal for us.

Re: Joe Hart

I am 1 of Joes harshest judge on his preformances for the club since he has got the number 1 jersey. Today Hart impressed me. His saves in the match today were class. He has finally has coped on to try and push the ball away from danger from shots. Today 2 good saves were he pushed the ball out of danger was class. I hope this is the begining of the new Joe Hart. Yes there are still things to work on but if you do the basics right then there is always something to build from. Unlucky not to have got a clean sheet today but still this season todays game was by far his best for us for a long time.

Re: Joe Hart

Magnificent today, haven't had a good second look at Ba's chance though so not sure if he had that one covered. Really unfortunate our defence couldn't record the clean sheet they'll be fuming...

Don't want to be pedantic, but....

Re: Joe Hart

brilliant today. absolutely devastated about losing his clean sheet. and too right, deserved it with some of his saves today

Re: Joe Hart

Magnificent save when it was 0-0 and they carved us open

His presence is beginning to make strikers miss

Re: Joe Hart
