Did we bury our heads in the sand as much as the Chelsea fans are doing now when they came in for SWP ?
It's almost painful to watch.
I have to say, I have never met a bunch of fans that are so unwilling to face the facts.
But to be fair, what facts do we have regarding the whole Terry situation? It's purely newspaper speculation and silence which can't always be relied on.
Right, now I feel he will go, but that changes all the time as we are getting different signals from different sources. Even the newspaper reports are pretty conflicting.
However, I feel if we get a good sum for him, it could actually benefit Chelsea. £40-50 Million and Abramovic's rage will mean a lot of money will be spent on special players that will make us serious contenders to get some serious silverware.

Guardian says its only £160k
one (or both) are way off
which is it ? £280 k seems crazy

sorry but when it comes to Terry and/or Lampard i just cant be reasonable with my opinions
You don't squeeze your best midfielder (Ireland) out onto the left wing, especially when the guy inside him is left-footed. I can foresee SWP's game time being limited this season, with us opting to play 3 up top with NDJ, Barry and Ireland in the middle. SWP's more likely to get game time as one of the top 3 rather than one of the middle 3 imo. Having said that, though, we're building a decent squad so I would expect everyone to get a game at some point. There won't be a nailed-on starting XI for every game.NZBlumer said:.................................................................GIVEN............................................................................

I still think we need another midfielder who can play attacking and defending because if Ireland - Barry get injured then we are screwed because has anyone seen Michael Johnson recently? Pablo Zabaleta and Vincent Kompany are not good enough for attacking and defending and there wasn't one sub which could play Central midfield and do a good job.

Classic. Says the bloke who leaves out our second best player last year.
Kompany must start. Whether thats at CB pushing Lescott to LB, or in place of De Jong. As much as I like Nige, Kompany is a class above him.
