Karim Rekik joins PSV on loan.

I don't see why we can't loan our youth players to like a Norwich or west Ham or even a Newcastle to give them that Premier league playing time.

I'm one of them though who if were going for an Holistic approach to put the likes of Rekik, Suarez or a Razak in our squad and give them some game time with the first team.

If yer wanna learn to swim you gotta get in the water.
Because they won't get a game.

It's too risky to chance an unknown player when your Premier League status could be at threat. There's too much money on offer in the Prem to be risked.

Rekik couldn't even get a game at Blackburn in the Championship at times. I suppose the same applies there. Their status in that league was too important to risk an unknown teenager.

if were not careful he could become the next boyata or savic he needs to play alongside some one who can organize an command a back line someone who read's the game well with good technique who can cover his mistakes someone he can actually learn from he's still only 18 which for a defender is still very young there no doubting he is extremely talented.

if he can get game time at PSV it would do him a lot better than playing in the championship, always thought the dutch league or Spanish 1st or 2nd division would be a better league to send our young player's to develop these are league's were skill an technique are more important than height an strength, an over the year's the PL seems to be headed in that direction.

hope he can get some serious playing time out there, could be a huge season for him & his development if all goes well.

He and Lopes impressed the most in the few EDS games I saw last season, he looked like a man amongst boys for the most part. As others have said if he gets game time, hopefully at centre back, it'll be a good move.

He's in Holland and had his medical yesterday. PSV hope to announce him tomorrow. So maybe City just printed a slightly out of date list.

Hope he gets lots of games to help in his development.

I think this is a great move. I understand the thought that it would be better for him to go to another PL team so he can get PL experience but they have no vested interest in him developing and since he's not a Lukaku elite type player that's guranteed upgrade over anyone in their squad. He has very little experience so it's tough to expect a PL manager to risk giving him playing time just to improve another clubs talent. The Dutch league on the other hand is known for developing young talent.

Anyone know PSV's CB situation? I hope he gets a decent number of games to grow, I always felt his game at LB against reading was solid.
