Another reason Corbyn should have resigned immediately. He's just had to appoint an Englishman (Tony Lloyd) to serve as shadow Scottish secretary because the only Scottish guy they have in the party won't do the role under Corbyn. The SNP will tear Labour apart over this and use it to stoke up more anti-English sentiment. Just when you thought Corbyn couldn't cost Labour any more votes.

Okay then, we'll go off the targets for public debt that both Osbourne and Hammond set. None. As for the spending to get out of debt argument, I'll pass that one over to Keynes, who I have a tonne of time for. It was his ideas on public spending that lead to what many consider the golden age of modern britain. The public sector should be a motor for the economy, not just reacting to it.

The problem with Keynes and Labour is they love the spending in hard times but can never put aside while the sun shines. I think they call it Keynes part II whatever the circumstance tax and borrow. Can’t help themselves.

Won’t happen I’ve mentioned him a few times and I know you have been banging the drum for ages. It’s the right choice but

He is too bright
He doesn’t have a vagina
He doesn’t look like the woman at the meat counter at Middleton Asda
He’s not wearing a flat cap
He’s not shouty enough so simple Northern folk will see this as uncaring
He doesn’t say misogyny and social justice every other word
