Keir Starmer

Starmer says he is going to make a case for retaining freedom of movement even though the UK is out of the EU.

That doesn't seem like a vote magnet to me.

It’s like they don’t listen.

Apart from RLB they are all trying to present themselves as being far more left wing than they really are in order to appeal to the membership. I saw a cracking reference to this saying they were all trying to be ‘prole-ier than thou’..

Sir Kier is particularly adept at saying whatever he thinks may propel him to power.

I actually edited my question to add working so the same question plus the working bit applies
Same answer, the reason people here are against FOM is to reduce the rights of eu members to move and work and be entitled to the same benefits as UK citizens, to control immigration . It's why those that voted no to stop FOM voted the way they did. Well those restrictions work in reverse the freedom of UK citizens are reduced too. Personally think that's a shame.

One of the most disappointing parts for me is to see my childrens freedom of movement taken away.

Don’t think I have been to any country in the world never mind Europe where there weren’t plenty of U.K. citizens working and living there. I’m pretty confident your children will be fine.

Sure they will , I don't think FOM was ever a problem for the UK , in fact think it worked well for us and we’ll miss it, and it will cause some industries problems. Certainly never caused a problem that I thought it was worth losing our FOM for.

If it wasn’t for FOM we wouldn’t be leaving the EU so if you were/are a europhile ironically it was a big problem for you.

Your children will still be able to work visit and live in any country in Europe
