Keir Starmer

Takes two sets of cults/cunts to cause infighting?
Exactly. Those rejoicing that their 'side' have won should probably be more aware that as long as such division exists within labour the Tories will continue to make hay while the sun shines. The trick labour need to pull off is to find a leader that can unite rather than appeal to part/most of the membership - Starmer will do until then.

My previous post will help

You and I - and a lot of other traditional Labour supporters - see the need for Labour to adopt a position where it is electable. That was achieved very successfully when Blair moved the movement towards the centre - but 'New Labour' is anathema to the hard-left purists. They saw the leadership of Corbyn as a 'getting their party back' and becoming again the true Labour Party - hence the comments that your issue is with the Labour Party.

I suspect that, like me and many others on here, you are deemed to be 'not worthy - not pure enough'
Oh I see, thanks for that.

Parties and movements change over time to reflect the changes in society, or they die.

If people want to be part of a protest movement that wants to drag the country back to the politics of 100 years ago they should join George Galloway’s movement imo.

For those who want a progressive alternative to the Tories who believe in a market economy, social justice and proper investment in the NHS and education, let that be the Labour Party again as it’s the only way it’s ever going to make a real difference to people’s lives.

The other interesting news is that the 3 seats on the NEC that were up for election didn't go to the Corbynista candidates. For 2 of those, the left couldn't agree on their "slate", which split the vote, but for the BAME representative they did agree and their candidate still got beat. So Starmer should have a majority on the NEC now. Hopefully Seamus Milne is just photocopying, filing and making the tea now.

Barry gardner and Ian Lavery both been dismissed from their position.

Both have wished the new leader and whoever replaces them best wishes.

Big change from 2015 where people quit while tweeting bile and other who were dismissed were vitriotic.

This has upset the Corbyn/Momentum crowd. Throwing their toys out of the pram big style on SM.

Got to conclude he's made a good start.

Nick Thomas-Symonds is a very interesting appointment.

Equally as many moaning that he has appointed Dodds as chancellor not reeves.

Also that he has appointed people who were fine with brexit going through.

The main thing I am seein is people talking about barry gardener going and lisa nandys appointment.

I'm surprised Gardener has gone. Nandy? That's depressing, I've dirt under my finger nails with more sense than that hole in the air.

On the plus side the media likes Starmer, sort of, as long as the boring bugger remembers his lines and doesn't bump in to the furniture, he stands an outside chance when the fat fool implodes.

He's no Twiggy either

Appoints new shadow cabinet minister who eulogised an anti Semite last week.

The clamour from the centrists to remove them is deafening....

Good, his next job is throwing Momentum out of the pram, then they might progress, but if he lets this cult
within a party continue, then they won't.
