Keir Starmer

I'm a voter who switches. The problem with Starmer and the labour party is that I still do not know what his policies are.

It is just criticising the current government < which is fine but it won't get my vote
He needs to get his arse in gear as I think Johnson fancies overturning the fixed term act and calling an election on a bullshit manifesto of fully vaxxed and a glorious economic post Brexit future for all.

Only politico's are watching this.

BBC/Sky will only show the witty slogan attacking him later. As someone posted on another thread earlier Tories on LBC ringing in saying that the PM is amazing and don't give a fuck about everything else.

yep. Wouldn’t surprise me if Boris’s approval ratings go up after today. That’s how fucking thick some are.

And that's the problem isn't it. Johnson is a terrible leader, unfit in every way to be the PM, but he has crafted this media friendly 'Boris' persona that plays up to his celebrity.

Its demoralising seeing people on the news or social media claiming that 'Boris is doing alright' when he's by a mile the worst PM in modern history and his catalogue of horrific gaffes and deceit are all common public knowledge.

But to your point, he's protected by his mates in the media who show his highlights reels and just brush the rest under the carpet.

spot on that.

As a country we're a bit shit and we have been for some time.

We get the government we deserve.

we’re not far off America in terms of division and thickness.
I’m sure if Trump run for PM over here he would have half a chance.
The thickness has always been there. Social Media has given them a voice. Cleverer people have developed a way of manipulating them to disbelieve anyone that disagrees with their viewpoint, whilst telling them that they’re victims.

One of the pioneers of that coordinated with Cambridge Analytica and is now bemoaning his monster being PM in a select committee hearing.

Wholly agree with this and good post for me. Ask any 'disaffecteds' what their issue is and they say they feel that nobody in power is relatable. Give the most unrelatable man a nickname by which he is known and pin populist stuff on him and he will walk it. Its all bullshit of course

I think Starmer should own the name "Keith" for English voters.

Sir Keir already sounds distant from the buyers he must connect to. Keith is an inoffensive name that people in a pub can relate.

Another CLP "suspended" for supporting their MP against Starmer disciplining them for voting the way their constituents wanted rather than abstaining on a vote.

As wishy washy a leader of the opposition you are ever likely to see.

Labour were struggling before they appointed this non-entity, they haven’t a hope in hell of winning the next general election.
Scary isn't it.

I still wouldn't be surprised if Johnson calls a GE before the years out to capitalise on it with a bullshit manifesto of levelling up and creating a "Brave new UK" or some other bollocks.

He will never recover from this (see below) the older generation (and we are a country with a high percentage of old people) have no time for this 'virtue signalling'. What about the other week when he sacked the lady on the right*(after a by-election defeat) a few hours after saying he was 'taking full responsibility' and then within a day or so had to give her other, more important jobs!

That's not leadership, that's just a joke.

*Well shes on the left actually, but on the right, in the picture!

Who's advising him?

Doing a soft interview with Piers Moron to show his "human side."

Well his latest advisors recommend more displays of patriotism and dressing smart & stuff like that: the Union Jack Flag, to try to get the 'red wall' voters back.

That may work I suppose, but what about the kids at the Pimlico Academy and people like them many of whom will be 18 at the next G.E. these were students who burnt the Union Jack flag if you recall, so they might not respond well to this new strategy.....
