Keir Starmer

Why whats actually comedy gold about it.

The NHS and public services seem to be up
Reports that the railways that been put back into public ownership are reported to of improved massively,

Have large increased minimum wages.

The workers rights bill and landlord bill favours the workers.

Immigration come down massively even though many especially on the right said it would go up .Small boats Arrvials seem to be going the right way on a downward projection seeing the total for this time last year is over 30% less.

Hopefully the economy and unemployment is turning around both better than expected.

Cost of leaving still a problem but that’s mainly because of big companies putting profits first especially in a cost of living crisis.scum they are.

But all in all he’s doing pretty good in my opinion.

the party of incompetence and grift.
No mate - that's the current lot. Or did you miss the freebies, the anti-corruption minister resigning over corruption, the housing minister resigning over evicting her tenants, the deputy PM dodging her taxes and the PM lying to parliament?

I guess you must have.

You talk about relative peanuts.

Where did all the Covid billions go?

So many of those same Tories have now moved on to their next political grift, Reform.

FYI I’m not a fan of Starmer but compared to the last lot he’s a fucking saint.

Thankfully the public are not so deluded.

I refer you to my answer above. Starmer is rightly recognised by the public as the worst PM in living memory. I, like many, think he's a traitor, rotten to the core.

He isn't. I know you lefties only chat amongst yourselves but if you ever decide to open your mind, you would notice what a complete and utter cluster fuck this government has been.
That’s ironic coming from someone who is a self confessed supporter of a party that’s to the right of Reform.
Anyway, haven’t you got a roundabout to paint?

Not really mate. I frequent lots of forums, meet lots of people with different views. But the prevalent view on this forum is very left leaning, and significantly out of whack with the mood of the general public. Of course there are regional and demographic variances. Younger people tend to be more supportive of Starmer (less hostile would be closer to it since no age group think he's doing a good job) and older people even more critical.

That's the reality. It's only those on here who fail to see it and cling to this idea that everything is OK. I'd get the same impressions if I visited Socialist Worker forums as well though I guess.

We've had far worse Prime Ministers than Starmer, but where Starmer really fails is as a politician. He appears for all the world like a man without a constituency, either in his party or in the country. It's not necessary for a Prime Minster to be in tune with the whole country, Thatcher never was, but they have to be in tune with a significant portion of it and Starmer simply isn't.

Starmer would be adequate as a steady hand on the tiller in cosier less fractious times, but we don't live in those times. When he speaks it's toe curling stuff, it's as if he's addressing a country that exists only in his head.

It’s not reality is it? It’s simply your conclusion from the small circles in which you circulate. So
Again, I ask you what sample size and source have you used to say he is the worst pm ever?

It’s people addicted to political drama and treat it like a soap opera.

They use hyperbolic and antagonistic rhetoric to continue the drama cycle.

When his choice of politician gets in, they will be the best PM ever and then when the next one that isn’t his choice gets in, they’ll be even worse than Starmer.

I was possibly a bit over the top with "the worst in living memory" - although debatably that may be true.

But I agree with your post. What surprises me a lot about him is just how utterly rubbish he is at this politics lark. Time and time again he fails to read the room. And as his popularity plummets, he seems completely oblivious.

I'm not getting drawn into this. Dismiss my comments as irrelevant as you wish. I am sure that's where your head is at anyway.
