Walker is a good RB, mostly on defense. His offensive skills aren't world class; on defense he relies often on his pace, which given his age (33) is going to be worse and worse in coming seasons.

If Walker leaves, I wish him well. We'll easily find a replacement.
Do you know he is still the fastest player in PL?
Have you seen Mbappe, Vinicius, and other top wingers become useless against him just recently?
Now please find a replacement for that, and when you say "easily", do you mean the replacement could be around $20M-$50M?

Three words. 33 years old.
Walker's pace is done for.
By easily replace, I mean that we can start a center back in his position and experience a better outcome. This will cost around $0M.

Look, I like Walker and in years past he was an awesome defensive stop. Next season though - there's almost no way he's going to be able to rely on blistering pace to always recover from mistakes.

Walker is still faster than most players in the world. He may lose a bit of that pace next year or he may not. To say he’s easily replaceable is mental.

How to tell us you’re a tit without telling us.

Pace gone?? Have you forgotten his rapid recovery against Madrid to rob Vinicius Junior who has a head start on him?

Careful SR - he'll put you on ignore for being nasty and hurting his feelings .
Nope.

I'm forceful in my opinion. Love Walker. Awesome defender in years past. Blisteringly fast. Occasionally relies on pace to make of for positional mistakes. Good on offense but not spectacular. Dropped by Pep and replaced by Stones whose offensive skills are better but whose pace is nowhere near as good.

Bottom line - Walker is a good RB who offers a lot on defense because of pace but isn't nearly as gifted going forward. At 33 Walker's pace is going to inevitably decline over the next few years, almost certainly by a lot.

Walker is 33. His biggest asset is pace. He doesn't read the game well on defense; on offense he's of course decent, but not at all exceptional. At his age, Walker's pace is going to shortly fall off a cliff.
It's entirely possible his pace does decline during next season, an Injury is most likely going to contribute to that but Jamie vardy was still rapid at 34 and fast at 35 and even at 36 he is still pretty quick and vardy doesn't look after himself the same way as walker. Injury free walker and I think another 2 years for him at a pace level still at the top.

Bit of a turnaround there mate. Last post said his pace was done for, now you are saying will decline over the next few years! Never a good idea when you realise that you have dug a hole for yourself to cary on digging. Just quietly walk away.

Walker's been part of the best defence in the Premier League for the last six years, so I fail to see how he doesn't read the game defensively.

In terms of offence, Walker had specialist wide attackers in Sané, Sterling, Mahrez, Foden & Bernardo in front of him. His job is to get the ball out wide to them, support them in attack, or to recycle it to central midfielder & to be ready to defend in the event of the attack breaking down.

Kyle has an 89% passing accuracy. In comparison Rodri has a 91% passing accuracy, with Gundog on 93%.

In terms of defending, City concede a goal every 98 minutes with Walker playing.

As for pace, Walker is far ahead of any full back I can think of ever. In fact he's the quickest defender in Premier League history clocking a blistering 37.802 kph making him the quickest player in world football last season. Even if he "fell off a cliff", he'd still easily be the world's quickest player even if his pace dropped by 1km.

Kyle may not have the passing range of KDB (but then who does), & he may not be the defensive wall that Dias is, but overall he's as effective as anyone we've got as evidenced in the toughest matches we've played.

None from Neymar, Mbappé, Vini Jnr or Davies have got any change from a foot race with Walker & he's managed to dispossess them all & complete pressure relieving passes to setup fresh attacks.

Yes, Pep says we've got better options to move from defence to join Rodri as a double pivot, but with Stones now doing this from centre back, Walker's equally adept at playing the right side of a back three as he is as full back in a back four.

Mate, Walker deserves respect for his unique skill set, not City fans decrying his evident quality & predicting his demise without a shred empirical evidence to backup their ridiculous claims.

He's got massive form for it!

I feel like he compares American Football to footy. You take hits all the time in AF and the sprints are short for muscular players.

Footy players are ATHLETES. Note Linford Christie set his BR at age 33 and retired 6 years later. Age catches up with everyone, but if you're genetically gifted AND look after yourself, like others have said, 2 years is looking good.

Post of the week this, I’ve never known a player get critiqued as much as Kyle for what ‘might’ happen in the future, and I find it absolutely ludicrous that people think if he did lose half a yard, he couldn’t adapt. I know the fable is your pace goes first, but I haven’t seen a sign of that yet, he isn’t Yaya or a 36yr old Ferna whose wheels came off, nobody worried about Merlin losing his vision, Sergio’s finishing going to pieces or Vinnies bottle going

Not going to lie I really hope you are taking the piss with this post.

Kyle Walker is a "good" right back? What? Really?

Can you name me two or three better right backs in Premier League history than Kyle Walker?

Walker IS world class he had the best left wingers in his pocket over the years. It's also a myth that he has to rely on pace, He has the luxury to push further forward knowing he's able to get back, He's an absolute beast in one v one situations on top of being an integral part to a Pep team and one of the main reasons we are able to play so high.

As for the "we'll easily find a replacement" part...Fucking hell.

Kyle Walker is a "good" right back...I've seen it all on Bluemoon now.
