The final hello… ;-)
Kyle pouring his heart out, Pep fannying about with his phone. He's checking in on Bluemoon, 'just been told Kyle is tempted by the new offer, don't shoot the messenger guys'.

There's a greater chance we won't. They're being run like a fucking burger franchise.Kind of symbolic to see us caring so much about keeping Walker (whom I like a lot!) at the same time we see Chelsea signing yet another special player for the future. There’s a good chance we could be playing catch up with them in a few years.

They will escape sanctions because they are American owned and the premier league is now close to being an American cartel, nothing to do with probityI seriously doubt that we will ever be as chaotic and reckless as the chavs have been under their new yank owners.
Not saying that they won't ever get it right, but fucking hell they are a total shitshow at present, and if they escape FFP sanctions it will be a miracle imo.
Watching this coming season with interest and a certain amount of contempt for them and pleasure if it goes tits up, due to that **** Rudiger and his assault on KDB.
Let me guess. Chelsea have just signed a young Brazilian that you rate highly ;-)Kind of symbolic to see us caring so much about keeping Walker (whom I like a lot!) at the same time we see Chelsea signing yet another special player for the future. What’s that supposed to mean? I have also told that some Brazilian players signed by some English clubs recently are nothing special, and the same goes for players of other nationalities. There is zero bias involvedLet me guess. Chelsea have just signed a young Brazilian that you rate highly ;-)

My point is they’re signing for the future whereas we are very much looking at solving the present. I suspect their future will be rather bright
We look at the present and the future, which seems a more sensible strategy. Hence signing young players that are among the world's best like Haaland, Alvarez and Gvardiol, bringing through our own academy players, as well as hoping to keep fantastic players like Walker (who can still make a contribution) and Bernardo etc. What’s that supposed to mean? In the first team squad this season, City have:
Nine 18-21 year olds
Four 22-25 year olds
Thirteen 26-29 year olds
Three 30-33 year olds
And one at 33+.
I don't think anybody took issue with that point (though they might disagree, as do I), which he made on another, more appropriate thread too.I don't see why his point is controversial to be honest. Chelsea are buying a lot of young talent in what seems to be a departure from the Abramovic years which, iirc, was more about buying experienced players financed by a good academy (and non-interest bearing loans and fraudulent agent transactions, apparently). It's an alternative to what City are doing and it may pay off in the future.
