I'd love to hear from those who laughed off Leciester, of which there were plenty on here.

Again the tactical limitations of Pellegrini were there to be seen. He is a gentleman and so on, but if I am honest with myself simply not good enough. We always get dicked by any half decent team these days. Looking forward to next season where we hopefully will be much more solid and tactically well tuned.

Spurs and liverpool next up. I dont care what anyone says but if we take fuckall from those two we are in a fight for fourth.

We will soon find out if we are up for the fight to make it 5 Chumps League qualifications on the spin.

We have gone downhill from last season by some degree.

Poor management , transfers that haven't worked out nearly as well as we are required for this league and the inability to keep an ageing squad relatively injury free have seen to that.

What a load of absolute bullshit I'm reading.....are people expecting us to win every fucking game?
We got beat by the better team today....end of story....believe it or not we are not invincible.
Looking at the positives today I've realised toure is no longer good enough unfortunately, but fuck me,if we beat spurs next week (will be favourites) and arsenal beat Leicester (favourites) then it's a four horse race!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!

Happy clapper alert I repeat happy clapper alert

Unless the mother of all riot acts is read to all the playing staff then we won't be in the top 4. Today is what happens when you're only plan is "Get Pep!". We have wasted a small fortune on players in the interim period waiting for Pep. We jettisoned a good manager in Mancini, because if we had backed him he would have won trophies and been very difficult to replace without looking dubious. We allowed player power to rise and now they know it will end with Pep's arrival. No real blooding, not even an attempt to bring any of the youth team into plug the physical gap when player's have slowed, or simply got knackered. Today should really spark an emergency meeting, it was that bad.
Bang on the money. This whole pep obsession has fucked us up bad.

Sterling's number one asset is pace - the same for Navas (yes I know he didn't play today!). In theory we should be able to break in the manner that Leicester do and add that capability to our game, but we don't.

We play one dimensional football that relies on us having (and keeping) possession, and eventually breaking down a team. The moment we face a team who are willing to win the ball back, or hold possession in their own right we struggle. Leicester are clinical on the break and in their finishing and we paid the price for that like most teams have this season.

Leicester were better than us. They thoroughly deserved the win.

The team should be watching Leicester videos as an example of how we need to have that option in our own game - to sit deeper and counter teams. Sterling and Navas should be two immediate outlets on the break - either left or right sided, with KDB or Silva plus Aguero through the middle. There's enough speed there to frighten anybody. Sadly we frighten nobody now.

Our problem isn't Sterling, who put a shift in. It's a defence, which aside from Mangala and Clichy isn't quick. I can't see any of today's back 5 being at the club in 2017-18.
