To be honest I'm a little disappointed. Leon Bailey will be a great player in a few years I'm sure, but we're basically signing someone like Sané in 2016. He might be a little bit further along but it's another project player, he's not going to make the side go up a level other than with the benefit of having more depth.

Silva and Fernandinho won't be around much longer, nor Aguero or Kompany. I was hoping we'd be going all out for a player who'd maximise the ability of this side to win everything while those players and Pep are here, because with Mendy, Stones, Laporte, Foden, Bernardo, Jesus, Sané and Sterling we have the future pretty well covered already.

I tend to agree with you, but who else is available this summer? Who would you choose instead of Bailey or Mahrez?

Griezmann's wage demands are going to be exorbitant if Barca are interested. Hazard would cost absurd money as well. I'd take both, but the Club may not see a good value in such deals.

I wouldn’t be disappointed at signing another player of Sane’s potential, he hasn’t had a bad season to be honest.

I think the real facts are who is there out there better, playing for clubs that would sell to us? Most marquee players are not really obtainable, and I still don’t see us compromising our tried and trusted transfer policy, by throwing huge wages and fees at one player. We have had a record breaking season, so it’s fine tuning that’s wanted, not a mass overhaul.
 
We should push for Greizmann big time! Perfect age, can play across the front three and wants out of athletico
 
I would rather have bailey than hazard or mahrez to be honest. sane, sterling, jesus and bernardo will all push on and get even better next year (hopefully) so a bailey who is rapid, good technically, versatile and a goal threat makes total sense to me at least. also he can play left-wing back...

I like Mahrez a lot but I would have to agree. In 5 years time Bailey would be at his peak, Mahrez will be 32. I'd be happy with either but as a long term investment Bailey will surely be better and could well be a better player than Mahrez in a few years.
 
He's bigger than i initially thought.He's about 6ft and quite powerfully built,not too dissimilar to Leroy.

At 20,his potential is awesome.
 
Nice player - shame about the agent. Looks like the rags next big failure to me.
Watched him play in Bumdesliga a couple of weeks ago - looked knackered after 1st half but has skill ability and knows when and where to pass/put the ball.
Not for us at the moment under any other manager - do think Pep might make him awesome - we shall see
