Hold on a second... a squad is always the same size of players, so its not like the quantity is stopping them, they arent simply good enough and thats very clear, especially our EDS generation who i think are the least good of all our coming age groups. Promising, sure, but they all need loans. None of them are close to good enough to be on even on the bench. We will use them as we have with out dreadful injury crisis, as fillers and subs, but only a handful are ready really atm.
Rag/Pell

Nope. Especially with the age of many of our players.

I've only seen him once (against our EDS where he was amazing), but I really would rather give Roberts a go than sign him for £40m. After all Roberts might turn out just as good or even better.

It really is a gamble to rate one more highly than the other at this point in time, and the fact we already own Roberts says to me we should give him a go. That said its not my money so I'd still gladly welcome Sane.

He's supposed to be hugely talented. We looked at him in January, seems like United really want him now though.

I agree mate....rumours are rags have been scouting him and could be ready to make a bid....Hope Txiki works faster than in the past to get our targets signed. I can see alot of teams doing their business early with Euros only 3 weeks away.....

Pep has apparently already told Txiki he wants all our signings done by the Euros. Imagine it'll be a busy couple of weeks.

I would really welcome that, would like to avoid an endless summer of protracted transfer saga's. Would't it just be great to get everything done within the next few weeks and then lean back and have holiday until next season starts?

Incredibly fast, powerful player. Great dibbler. Poor finishing, worse shot technique than sterling, but that will improve. Overall, i wouldnt spend 40 million when we have roberts, barker, nemane, and of course brahim in the youth system.

We won't get all our signings done by the Euros as the selling clubs will hold out for as much as they can and they won't be in any rush to sell. Some seem close than others and expect Laporte, Gundogan and Stones to be some of the early ones. The really big deals will take much longer but it would be good to make a big statement early to encourage others. I can see a Pogba/Lewandowski bid with others to follow and Sane would offer good competition to the likes of Sterling, Navas and Nasri but Chamberlain may be another option at lower cost and ticks the home grown box as well

None of those are ready for the first team although Roberts may be in 12 months. They need loans where they actually play. Sane will flourish under Pep and has shown he can play regularly in a first team. I wouldn't spend £40m on him but could see a £25M + add ons
