@Ric @tolmie's hairdoo this concrete news or more paper talk ?
Our interest in him is genuine. Guardiola is a fan.
oh lordIncredibly fast, powerful player. Great dibbler. Poor finishing, worse shot technique than sterling, but that will improve. Overall, i wouldnt spend 40 million when we have roberts, barker, nemane, and of course brahim in the youth system.
oh lord
That was around January time though , there hasn't been any links to him for agesfrom the first page of this thread:
It will cost a lot more than 30m though if I remember Schalke's DOF/chairman's quotes from a few months ago correctly.

Where's that from? Someone reputable, or just random paper talk? Would be great if that's true though.Pep has apparently already told Txiki he wants all our signings done by the Euros. Imagine it'll be a busy couple of weeks.
With Leroy Sane getting named in the German squad, does this mean we need to move a little quicker in talks to get this done before the euros (if he is a target)? I do get the feeling that Txiki likes to show interest in a player but doesnt like to rush things when it comes to formal offers.... It seems other teams are already making moves to get deals done before the euros and I just hope Txiki is doing the same....

Sane's German call-up puts pressure on City to table a formal bid

I don't think he will improve the starting eleven or the bench.
it would be ideal to have our business done before the Euros/Copa, but everyone aside from the selling clubs always want that. We did sign Silva in the middle of World Cup 2010 though if memory serves, so any time this summer is possible.
As long as we get everybody we need it doesn't matter what order they come in.I do like the move but would agree that this isnt our biggest need and would like CM and LB/RB needs to be sorted out before adding another winger...

I actually belong to a minority that thinks wingee is our greatest need. 2 of them really. These are positions that can alter our status. Fullbacks on the other hand are good, but their overall influence is less. Unless we are getting Alaba or someone of that ilk, I don't think the effect will be that great. Winger on the other hand we have, right now 1 backup and one possible project. Even CM can be fortified by repueposing Nasri and Silva to the Center with The Ferns interchanging at DM. Denayer will return at RB, but no one at WM is currently at the level of speed/skill combo Pep gas used at his last 2 stops.I do like the move but would agree that this isnt our biggest need and would like CM and LB/RB needs to be sorted out before adding another winger...
