Klavan, Grujic, solanke, Keita, Shaqiri, Karius,
All wastes surely? Especially Keita who is never fit.

The total cost of all the players you've listed there, bar Keita, is £25m. and I'm excluding him because he's the only player who we've bought as a potential starter, and still are hopeful of him coming good.

Klavan cost £2m ffs :D

Well, at least it's a reply, if a little anodyne.
Was rather more than bad sportsmanship. It was over 100 criminal offences. While committing these offences, Liverpool have waged a five year war against City, accusing them of cheating, starting a war with Yemen, causing climate change, parking their bus in the wrong place etc etc.
Seriously, if you write letters to the Premier League containing accusations that were all shown to be false, it is the height of hypocracy to be hacking City's IT systems at the same time.
There may well be an enquiry now. Perhaps City can feel a little smug at the revellation of double standards.
Over 100 criminal offences. That being every time they accessed Scout7 it was a criminal offence correct? If it was once it may as well be 1000 times really. Same crime repeated. Only £1m to make all these offences go away seems pretty cheap. I would have thought City would seek to punish Liverpool a little more than that.
As I said, it's bad sportsmanship. It was done to get the edge on transfers, I don't agree with it and it was wrong.

Klavan, Grujic, solanke, Keita, Shaqiri, Karius,
All wastes surely? Especially Keita who is never fit.

Klavan cost €5m as a 4th choice centre back, played 39 games over the course of just over 2 seasons and was sold for £2m with the emergence of Gomez.

Grujic was signed for £5.1m at age 21 and has since been on loan. Estimates of value in summer range from £25-40m

Solanke cost £3m and was sold 18 months later for £18m.

None of these 3 can be argued as being a waste of money at all.

The other 3 are more debatable.

Keita cost around £55m and so far has been under whelming. Injuries cost him when he finally looked to be settling into place, but with many years left in his contract, and with the talent he has, he remains a question mark in terms of value.

Shaqiri cost £13.5m and has had limited game time as back up to the front 3, although did score the winners against united. Again, given the limited fee and the intended role as backup, I would argue he has been neutral in terms of value. Neither best, nor a waste.

Karius on the other hand....... An unmitigated disaster. Leaving aside his performance in the CL final, which may or may not have been affected by concussion, he was poor throughout most of the season and never convincing. In fairness he was considered to be the 2nd best keeper in the bundesliga before we signed him, for £4.75m, but still, a total disaster and waste of money.

If these are the worst signings of klopp that you can think of, particularly in light of the successes, I can rest easily with that.

Leaving aside questions over other clubs owners, I'm not sure how you can argue that Liverpool's are bad owners. Financial guys who want to maximise value of their investment, fair enough, but under their ownership we've seen increases in stadium capacity (with more planned), greatly increased revenues and reduced debt, and an obvious improvement in playing performance. Certainly they have so far proved the opposite of asset strippers.

You can’t argue with any of that they’ve certainly managed to get the consistency in the playing side of things. Towards of Benitez’ reign you would have a great season and regress the next where at the moment the last 3 seasons have seen improvement after improvement. The recruitment of players such as Mane, Van Dijk and Salah has transformed Liverpool into a very good side and certainly got another gear out of Pep with the title race last year.

What they have done with the ground redevelopment and match day revenues is a big plus point, you look at Anfield compared to the dilapidating cow shed that is Old Trafford. Will look impressive when they get the Anfield road end redeveloped.
