Spouting that while ignoring the fact that when Shankly went to Liverpool they were a nothing Second Division club and they went on spending sprees to buy promotion and then trophies throughout the decades which saw them become the club they became by the mid-80s.

If it weren’t for spending their owners money in the late 1950s, they might still just be a nothing Second Division club now!

And Sheikh Mansour hasn’t spent a penny on City for years now!
 
According to a couple of dippers I know there is no rivalry between us and them. This has been made up by City who are desperate to receive recognition in football because before 2008 we were a nothing club.

And yet it's them who cannot stop talking about us.....

The word 'earned' makes me laugh.
They get firms to pay lots of money to advertise on their shirts and get money from TV where.the same advertising is shown to a bigger audience. All clubs do it around the world.but they get more because they have been made more famous by the media.

Not quite doing a shift down a mine, nursing very sick patients or putting fires out.

They’re not done yet. My biggest concern is the Dippers beat Chelsea because they’re capable of going on a long winning run. Worrying times.

You only have to look at one single revenue stream away from any sponsorship payments to see that their arguments around our spending are completely ludicrous… TV revenue

Total TV revenue during Pep’s tenure = £860m
Total Net Transfer Fees during Pep’s tenure = £581.97m
