This country is a disgrace.

It's down to jealousy. Sadly, we live in a country that is steeped in jealousy and envy. A country that relishes and lauds failure as somehow glorious, whilst sniping at winners. It's the English way.

I learned years ago that in life it's better to be disliked for what you are, than be liked for something you're not. So, I say fuck the rest, and their self-harming fetish for seeing sportswashers killing the game they say they love. We are who and what we are. We celebrate what we win, and when we win we win legitimately. Abu Dhabi can say none of those things. The bitter, the sour, the envious and the jealous can just get on being consumed by their own bile and negativity.

I would no longer consider myself a Liverpool supporter anymore.. Club and football in general morphed into something I know longer recognise or associate with.. yeah still take a veiled interest and keep on top of things..
I will tell you in simple terms what I think.. No problem whatsoever with City winning trophies.. dear me.. if any teams supporters deserve success it’s you lot with what you have endured last 40 years having to put up with United.. going to the old Maine Road was a highlight of the season especially the usual drink before the game in the supporters Club with banter with fans.. take up my seat in the Platt Lane,the usual five we put past The great Joe Corrigan and even the look on the faces of John Bond and Peter Swales face after it... your right tho all good things come to an end like it did for us..
Now to my own situation... at one time supporting Liverpool was predominantly a local thing similar to your good selves.. success came along then the dreaded SKY and Liverpool F.C. became global so instead of me going the match with Mick from the Dingle..Tommy from Walton I ended up sitting with Tarquin from Surrey.. Jeremy from Berkshire or Lars from Oslo.. you try talking to one of those about what was in last nights Echo.. the point I am making is I have nothing in common with these people surely it’s more than just 11 people running around a pitch it’s about supporting your local club the one that represents you.. your family.. the place you live and the way you live your life in that city of town Liverpool F.C no longer has links to the City or its people.. it’s a global brand.. an American Franchise.. I was once a fan or a supporter now all I am is a customer or client.. all I am saying to City fans is success is great however in time it robbs you of your identity.. you still have a lot of yours still intact however it won’t be there in another 15 to 20 years a the rate you are winning trophies, and you will be in the same boat as Liverpool and United.. a football club without any proper identity.

I fear this.
If we do turn into the next rag/dipper type club, your timeframe seems somewhat generous.
Luckily for us the Sheikh seems to be a real City fan.
Perhaps the scenario you present will not happen for this reason.
I hope that there is a better way to be successful.
Perhaps we will become the 'Harlem Globetrotters' of football!
Who knows?
I do know that never want City to become arrogant, spoiled and bullying.

Imagine Salah and Mane going in one window. FSG are business people and for all the threats that they wont let Salah and Mane go this summer, would they really risk losing out on £60m now and letting him walk for free? I cant see it.

Be fantastic though, especially when they say they planned ahead and Diaz/Nunez are the replacements. Dont forget all reports said Diaz was a target for this summer but they had to move due to Spurs

Yes I fully understand Liverpool fans not wanting to be associated with sportswashing and dirty oil money.

What a fucking idiot that poster is. Fact of the matter is that they can afford to keep him. It’s just that their owners are (seemingly) choosing not to pay him what he’s asking for. That’s on them and is fuck all to do with “the game” as that poster puts it.

Well fuck me. Liverpool fans are the only fans in the league who celebrate with fun and humour when they win trophies. They truly are unique. Then again, he may have a point - I don’t recall fans of City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, or Blackburn ever celebrating winning the Premier League by setting fire to the most iconic building in their home town!

It's really humorous when you set fire to listed buildings, riot with the local constabulary and daub your local rival's statues and "shrines" with paint just because PiMol hoisted your chosen team to the top of a football table by disallowing goals for unseen pushes at corners, whilst giving umpteen penalties to a bloke with a massive forehead who fell over at ever opportunity and another who suffered from dizzy spells whenever he was in the vicinity of the box! Oh, the fun they had. It's the way it should be done and everybody wants to emulate you! Just imagine being them for a second, it must've meant so much more!
