Still like it - One note - Istanbul made Manchester feel like a small village. Bigger is not always better - where we live is so livable and nice - made me appreciate home.

Certainly does on both counts.

I think the new design is more iconic and noticeable. But I still prefer the use of glass. I do have reservations about the white roof/material and how it will weather and look overtime due to the changeable Manchester weather. The public realm and landscaping looks much better in the new proposal. I just hope Therme Manchester get’s built, as it’s dragging out.

I’ll get the thread back on track next week.

Been to Istanbul as some of you will know, and off work this week on holiday.

Dismantling work has started in and around City Square. So I’ll start taking pictures from next week onwards until the stand is finished in two years time. Then a further year for the other buildings.

Worked all over town doin air conditioning. Not your offices your arenas. Had a T crane nearly took my head off. No hard hat/been dead. Not jokin. Barclays bank in town, if u go in u can see the roof. We had a T crane that snapped trying to get a massive air unit to the roof. Just been built. it fuckin shook. Watched it go from left to right.
