I don't remember the media ever claiming a set of players have embarrassed the club with a single performance like they are doing with this. The media are chomping at the bit for us to fail and Liverpool to win it and they see this as the big opportunity. They are doing their bit to ensure that there will be no repeat performance of the Everton game.

Totally agree, coupled with nicely timed Pogba,OGS interviews. The media are trying anything and everything to rev the rags up and help give the advantage back to the candle boys. If we go onto win it it'll make it all the more sweeter.

It's going to be a very interesting game, as someone pointed out the Rags can't afford to sit back as any dropped points now really hits there top 4 hopes. Likewise we need to win the game, as such i can see this being a very open and attacking game. The fact that they have shipped 7 goals in the last 2 games without being able to notch a goal themselves can't be overlooked either, if we go ahead they will be tested mentally. The more I look at this game the more i am leaning towards keeping Sterling on the left and putting Mahrez on the right to allow Bernardo to drop in the middle, that said i see no reason that Foden shouldn't start either, he did well against Spurs and there is an argument that he should keep his spot.

I think thats a very good point about getting the first goal. If we were to score first and early, they haven't got the current mental strength to respond and would really open the game up for us.

Mahrez why?

Fernandinho
Bernardo D Silva
Sane Aguero Sterling would be my attack.

Are you f**king kidding? Play Mahrez in a high pressure game like this??
He has shown that he's not up to it so far, he slows down all our attacks, is incredibly predictable and nearly always shoots wide when he finally has a shot (after 5 million step overs).
No way would I consider Mahrez for a game like this.
Are you his agent or something?

Ole ole looks shit scared in press conference. I got a feeling hes gonna walk from his job. I reckon he knows the job is to big for him. He lives and talks about past nited alot

Sane has to play. United's main threat comes with the overlapping of their full-backs, which is why I think we need to keep them more concentrated on Leroy and Sterling.

We will need extra legs in the midfield without Kev, so Bernando and Dave for me.

They have zero technique playing out from the back, so press has to be perfect.
I would love Leroy to start as well, but would be very surprised if the front six was not Fern, Gun, Silva D, Silva B, Serg & Raheem

Why does'nt Pep come out and say that Ķev will be fit to play tomorrow, so they'll change their tactics, then when the team sheet is announced he wont be on it which will fuck them up

Tactics?? They don’t have tactics just the grand old United way, the DNA and all the other bollocks they go on about. With their 669m fans roaring them on.

I have to disagree, I think this will be a step too far for us. A lot is against us, their players effectively playing for their futures, home advantage, ref being primed,Fergie will get involved and the media push will be at its height to ensure the Dippers benefit in anyway possible. You only had to witness Oliver’s incompetent performance on Saturday to see how we can be beaten.

Obviously I hope you are so much more enlightened than I am and I’m completely wrong, whichever way, I will be glad when tomorrow is out of the way, every time I think about it my stomach churns.

Are your bloomers to tight mate?

Mmmm..not sure that a number of their squad are all that bothered about their futures-I think they've seen the future (OGS)and concluded (correctly) that MU are a club in long term decline and more bothered about the next sponsorship deal than creating a winning team. They are diametrically opposed to City in every aspect of what they do-we have owners in it for the VERY LONG term and a manager who I suspect sees this as a unique opportunity to leave a legacy.I've always had a theory that MU will hit a tipping point driven by lack of success on the field which will ultimately be their undoing financially.Plus the Sanchez fiasco must be playing havoc with team morale let alone the wage bill.
I get the distinct impression that Pogba/Lukaku /De Gea etc have already left in their own minds and the rest are average on a good day.
An opportunity to give them a good spanking -lets face it,Everton are a good team at best-hardly world beaters.

An early City goal tomorrow night and I can see United looking back on the 23rd October 2011 with relative fondness.
We've got the squad, manager, tactics, mental strength and momentum to make this a horror show for a very disjointed and demotivated United.
My only doubt would be if we go 2 up and then try and sit on it. This should be a night when we send out the clearest message of the last 10 years that we are entering a period of utter domination...
I'm going 0-4 with more empty seats for the last 20 minutes than we've ever seen !

A step too far? fucking hell

I don't understand why there are so many worried people on here, whatever team we put out should be good enough to get a result against the current rags team. no problem for me...city expects

PEP @Mahrez22 will be with us next season, and the next one and the next one. I don’t need to speak with him - he will be with us next season. He knows and everybody knows there’s competition in the squad. He is happy, we are happy.

Pep Guardiola: “Four games left and we have to win our four games to retain the title. It is not an easy place to go [Old Trafford] but at the same time, it is a nice place to go. We know exactly what we have to do and we’re going to go there to do a big game.”

“The question of dominance is about winning Premier league titles. It’s ok but it’s not the most important thing. It’s true that we’ve done better than them [United] over the last three years but it is about winning titles, not beating United.”
