True, he's just not as good at going forward.Let's not forget that we still have Ake who plays left back for his country and he certainly can defend!

It was tweeted yesterday or may even have been saturday by i think Naylor that Brighton had walked away from negotiations.True.
According to the Rag Stone at BBC United, Mediacity.
As if Stone would know who ended the talks, unless he's got a hotline to Bloom and Brighton.

Marc Cucurella: Chelsea interested as Brighton end Manchester City talks
Chelsea are interested in signing Marc Cucurella after Brighton end discussions with Manchester City over the sale of the defender.www.bbc.co.uk
He certainly does when he`s running. The fucking whole ground moves."shudder"
Think you`ll find its HIS club who are unsettling him with the ridiculous fee they want.Debating this deal with a Brighton fan who claims that Cucu is worth at least £50m, is better than Zinny and will be a Spain regular. Said we should stop unsettling the player and pay up or walk away as Bloom won't cave. I am on a fishing exercise now and he is taking the bait. And they call us bitter...
So, not realistic thenThe only realistic chance we can get him under 50m if we offered them either McAtee or Delap with no buyback clause which is will be hard no from City.
Or maybe they can accept, if we put buyback clause high enough to satisfy them in range of 50m to 60m.
Demanding £50m for him while paying him the wage of a £15m playerThink you`ll find its HIS club who are unsettling him with the ridiculous fee they want.
I love the lad but not at the price Brighton are asking. Doesn`t look like any sort of compromise could be forthcoming either.Demanding £50m for him while paying him the wage of a £15m player
Last year of his contract knows the league England regular plays for a small club ticks all the boxesFatty Shaw ;)
You should have seen the Alexis Sanchez one. This thread is going to hit 1000 posts and we’re still no nearer knowing if he’ll be a City player!! Astonishing.
Perhaps he didn't want to sell him. It is his perogative.Let's turn the table.
Did Bloom really think City would pay 3x's+ what Bloom payed (£15.4mill) for him on the 31st of August 2001.
Get real Bloom!
So we move on to the next left back target, and suprise, his transfer valuation shoots up as well when City enquire about him.

More interesting to see how Cucurella plays in the coming months. He did, as long as City met his valuation, which City obviously didn't.
I'm sure another club will try and sign Cucurella in the future. It will be interesting to see how that plays out and what the transfer fee is.
