Clearly we need a first choice left back, but I'm not going to be too upset missing out on a player I never heard of until the close season. If Chelsea are willing to pay up then fair enough and good luck to him, its a great move.
In the meantime, I'm sure we will have another left back targeted before the end of the month, our recruitment is top notch.

I cannot believe that you had never heard of him until the close season. You obviously watch very little EPL football other than presumably MCFC games. He has excelled in the 10-12 Brighton games I recall watching last season. A very serious mistake not buying him.

I valued him at 70 million absolute maximum which is probably exact. So that is at least 30 million of a premium. I would say Mr Cucu is 35 million max which would yield a 15 million premium. Should we have gone for it not sure.
