Marcos Lopes

My only reservation is that he doesn't seem to possess a great deal of pace, although I haven't seen as much of him as some of the posters on here. Is more a creative than predatory?
He's quick enough from what I've seen, low centre of balance too.

Fair enough. Like I say, not seen loads of him.

He's got plenty of pace.

But he needs time and space to get to his top speed.

He's not got Walcott/Lennon style winger pace, but for an attacking midfielder/inside out winger he's definitely above average. He's quicker than Silva and Nasri I'd have thought and that's probably the type of player he's going to become

agreed and good ball control for an 18 year old which will increase over time, I expect he'll become the type of player who can run at defenders with mazing runs rather than a Walcott/Lennon who'll you smash the ball 30 yards to run onto. Lopes seems more suited for creating that space for himself.

Hopefully he'll start today, unless Pellers are going all in on getting to next round.
We went all in on getting to the next round of the FL Cup against a better team (Wigan) than Blackburn and he got a start and played reasonably well.

If he doesn't play in games like this there's no hope for the young players. May as well just get them loaned out to a league where they play decent football like a lower Spanish club or the Dutch league.

So no hope for young players as Lopes didn't play? :D

Glad to see Huws get a run out instead as Lopes will surely start against West Ham.

I think they will both start against the hammers. I think Manuel will leave the likes of Yaya, Fern, David etc on the bench just in case something went badly wrong

If this guy is so highly rated by all u guys why dosent he get a start... especially since nasri is gone
because Milner navas and Silva are all still ahead of him for 2 positions, downside of having such a good squad, I have the feeling hell start to see more game time though, after all he's still only 18.
