You don't get it, do you?

It's a hypothetical thread about what is best for not just us, but Mario also.

A myth has been perpetuated, to a degree, and can be reflected in the unwarranted yellow cards.

All the same, propoganda is bullshit. He's kicked someone in the fucking head and has let himself and the team town AGAIN.

Regadless of intend, he has previous for it, and that's proved his undoing this time.

His reputation, forged to a large degree by himself, is the reason he has become an easy target.

Difference is, I think the lad will never be able to realise it in this country.

It's gone too far.

That may have been your intention but it is certainly not what this thread has become.

Because it's clear they have not read the OP or their blue-tinted glasses are such, they can't get by supposed agendas.

The debate is not about should we back Mario, it's about the best course of action is going forward.

The best course of action going forwards is to back Mario.

Agreed, I'm sorry but you cannot trust the guy. He is a liability and unfortunately he will never rid himself of the stupid Self Destruct Button he has in his head.

I want him to do well and want him to realise his potential with us. Just cannot see it happening.

are you trying to say he`s another rooney

Seriously? Engage your brain.

It's a debate about the pros and cons, not how fucking old he is.

For the record, the flip side of the argument is that there are plenty of 21 year-old's who don't have a trigger switch.

Bury your head in the sand, but people are born a certain way. Mario can play 20 games on the trot and score 20 goals.

Means jack shit the next time he lets himself down. How about a Champions League Final or a derby?

Did Gerrard not look a liability when he was getting sent off left right and centre as a 21 year old?

I think you are the one that should 'engage your brain' and stop believing the propaganda aimed at him.

It's gone too far.

So my hypothetical analysis of him is moot?

Most people on this thread also disagree with your opinion, do they not get it also?

I think we need to stick by Mario. Its like your son or daughter being sent to prison for a petty crime. Would you turn your backs on them or stand by them and get them help.
Football and your kids getting sent down are nothing like the same. If balotelli was being wrongly accused of something which didn't happen then fair enough, back him to the hilt but the fact is, he lashed out. Whether he meant to get Parker's face or not is irrelevant, (and I don't think he did try to hurt him), because the intention to stamp back is enough to warrant the ban he's received. It's really simple, don't lash out and no-one gets banned.
Redknapp is looking out for his team and his club as with Balotelli gone, its a glimmer of hope they can catch us up. Mancini would do the same thing i'm sure. Bottom line though is if Balotelli hadn't done it, Redknapp would have had nothing to woman about.
It is down to one persons actions alone, Balotelli.

Your missing the point mate. Im saying that if your offspring goes out at the weekend and gets in a drunken brawl and ends up doing six months in Strangeways would you turn your back them. Its the same situation with Mario. He's done something that probably deserves a 4 game ban, but he has a bright future. Same hypotheically can be said of your son whose been sent to Strangeways.
Shit happens at a young age. Mario is a character with genius potential with a football at his feet.

Fuck me there's some drama ladies on hear!!!

Get rid of mario!! Are you mad??

Every GREAT team throughout modern history has had a crazy mutha manager or player, it's just that everything is seen through a magnifying glass nowadays.

Let's put it this way if not Mario then who? Ask yourself that and grow some bollox!!!!

Whilst there is no dispute to the wealth of natural talent Mario has, it's a wider question.

Sometimes you have to let go the ones you love, for the good of the main parties concerned.

Mario WILL NEVER realise the player he needs to become in this country. I have reached this conclusion over the last 12 months.

His previous will continue to be raked up and as a result, his future, massively impacted.

A yellow card is the default position for every game he takes part in, justified or not, as reputation proceeds him.

As a result of the Parker incident, and the moral outrage over every cough and splutter, it is only going to get worse.

I believe a ban is warranted for the latest foul-up, and he has again let himself and us down.

I just think it would now make good sense between now and the window to stick two fingers to the system and sell him in exchange for another top class striker.

We are only delaying the inevitable IMO. Mario has become larger than the game itself in this small-minded country and his character and talent is why WE LOVE HIM.

But sometimes you have to do right by the ones you love.

I suppose we should continue to trust the powers-that-be at City, but if down to me, I would consider a swap proposal for Cavani at Napoli right this minute.

Naples, outside of Madrid, might be the only footballing town big enough to protect their own.

So he stays. Support, and then hopefully the idiots with the whistles will realise that he is targetted by players not fit to lace his boots (Do boots still have laces?), he gets the free kicks for all the fouls committed against him and he becomes PL top scorer and winner of the Golden Boot. Stick that up yer tax return, 'Arry!

Its not people wanting him to go, but if he cant control his actions on the pitch there is little choice in the matter. Everyone agrees he's a special talent when he wants to be, but if he is going to miss 10 games every year becuase of silly fouls what do City do. This is what the OP is getting at. For the greater good of the team either he changes his attitude or he has to go??

Unfortunately he is a liability and I would swap him tomorrow. Every time he plays I fear the worst and most times my fears are well founded. How many more times is he going to let us down by doing something completely stupid and uncalled for? Balo will never change in my opinion. As Souness said, he is a car-crash waiting to happen every time he sets foot on the pitch.

But he did act like an idiot he got a silly yellow card for his "why always me" top..one more yellow and he'd have been off..

And I'd expect you to stick by City players all the time...not just when it suits you..

By that logic I should stick up for Carlos Tevez? Or just the ones that suit me?

Tevez is a grown man and a **** to boot...Mario is Mario Good days and bad days...

Tell that to the people who slaughtered Savic the other day...not quite as fashionable as Mario?
