I was in the same year at junior school as Barry Cattell. He had a twin brother John. To say they were a bit rough around the edges was putting it mildly.I saw loads come and go. Russ, Alan, and about three others at least. Barry Catell and Steve Mellor on the door, David James the DJ.
Cheeky get ;)Didn't ever know they had a high school, learn something new every day!

I went to Chorlton Grammar School which became Chorlton High School but was demolished about 30 years ago.
Changed its name to Oakwood High School in the early 80s. Now called Chorlton High again.Cheeky get ;)

Yes I had forgotten Roger and did Paul Hart go to Chorlton High? ( the old enemy ).Yeah, it had a good run for a while. I played in the same team as Roger Palmer and Johnny Hart's youngest son Nigel who (through sheer determination) carved himself out a career in the lower leagues with Stockport, Lincoln and Chesterfield amongst others I think.
There were 2 high-schools in Chorlton. Chorlton High and the mighty Wilbraham then they merged in later years and as you say became Oakwood for some time !Changed its name to Oakwood High School in the early 80s. Now called Chorlton High again.

The vast majority of comments agree with Serg, including fans of other clubs. Only the Rags don’t, and are having a pop at Serg.
