I just hope some calm can prevail. I reckon the vast majority of both "sides" would want that. Somebody must grow a pair and decry the killing from both sides.

I possess Olympic levels of chutzpah!Or even your chutzpah!

Like the one that had been deployed last Saturday?Where have you been for the last 7 years? Missile after missile fired into isreal from Gaza. Only a very exprnsive anti missile system stops Isreali cities and settlements burning.
It looks that way, but once the world starts paying attention things might change, in many ways this could be a cathartic momentThey never will. It's a hopeless situation.

The problem is the US ignored, put their fingers in their ears and hoped it would go away, but like a volcano it’s erupted again and 1000s are dead on both sides, perhaps they will pay attention now
The corrupt and ineffective PA needs to go as well, there needs to be younger leadership for Palestinians, leadership with vision not locked into the past
I agree with you. They won't do that because within a generation the Arab Muslim population would have a clear majority and Israel is no longer the Jewish state.
I don't think the Americans care as long as their strategic interest is served. It looks that way, but once the world starts paying attention things might change, in many ways this could be a cathartic moment

Basic humanity seems to have gone out the window I'm afraid, it's all about who's right and who's wrong and taking sides between a right wing oppressive regime and a terrorist organisation that hasnt allowed an election in 17 years. Anyone who attempts to decry the killings will be accused of supporting one of those sides.I just hope some calm can prevail. I reckon the vast majority of both "sides" would want that. Apologies if already posted, tweet speaks for itself -I just hope some calm can prevail. I reckon the vast majority of both "sides" would want that. Somebody must grow a pair and decry the killing from both sides.

He's only just watched the game at Arsenal. Why?
I wonder if has anything to do with Peps lass on Twitter-X ? Saw it mentioned a moment agoWhy?
It's not going to happen mate. I listened to the sitrep podcast before, forces news. And they played a clip of an Israeli general talking, basically the Israeli goal is to whipe out Hamas, and make sure they can never rule in Gaza again. I have a terrible feeling that this is going to escalate big time across the region. Countless civilians will die, and our government had better not get us involved in this mess, other than for humanitarian aid.I just hope some calm can prevail. Bravo. Just what the thread needed…and I’m not joking. He's only just watched the game at Arsenal.
When were Russia being condemned as much as Isreal are?Hamas deserve every bit of condemnation they get, but she's right. Israel as usual are showing no restraint. Russia, quite rightly, are condemned for attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure. In this case context doesn't matter, war crimes are war crimes. I've no doubt Hamas leaders would be prosecuted for their crimes if they made it out of the other side of this, but will Israeli leaders be prosecuted for theirs? I think we all know the answer.
