2. Mourinho has always been very complimentary about Spurs. He even went as far as to call us a bigger club than Chelsea when he was in England.
Its a shame Modric disagrees.

I think Mou was talking about stuff like fanbase and history. If you live in London for a while you get to realize just how many fans Spurs actually have.

Mod was obviously moved by different considerations like the fact they were willing to triple his wages and offer Champs League football. I don't think anyone at Spurs blames him for having his head turned by that offer.

I don't think this assumption is valid that Soriano knocked Mourinho back at Barcelona, he automatically would do the same here. Soriano's book makes clear that Mourinho wasn't a fit for Barcelona, at that time. Doesn't mean that Soriano would therefore deem Mourinho not a fit for City at this time. Very different conditions apply.

If City were to make a change, then the overriding requirement is for the manager with the best chance of winning stuff. We're not currently an establishment club, and what we need to drive us forward is success on the pitch. I suspect that Soriano is as likely as anyone else to see that as the priority and act accordingly.

(In any event, this is a decision that will be taken in Abu Dhabi and just implemented by the CEO, not made by the CEO himself).

That last sentance is the bottom line and says it all........................

Never happen, bob is mubaraks man and having backed his horse from day 1 he won't be pulling him out anytime soon, that includes failing to win the league - city's next manager will be paddy viera!

I'm surprised you've ruled Liverpool out. I think if he leaves Madrid this summer that'd be the obvious job for him to take in England. Although their owners aren't Mansour rich, they've got enough money to to be able to build a title winning team with Mourinho in charge.

From Mourinho's point of view, restoring Liverpool to their former glories would be arguably a bigger achievement than what he did at Chelsea, and certainly far more prestigious.

Maybe it's just me but I tar all the yanks with the same brush, fur coat no knickers.

I think they spunked their cash last summer in the vain attempt to get straight back to top4 and would have to sell to generate transfer income now and imo they won't get much for anyone they want to unload - Suarez is about the only player worth decent cash.

So what - you´ve got a catchment area of 12 zillion people and TWO PL clubs in Norff Larnden
Gtr Manchester - 2.5 m inhabitants - 4 PL clubs AND about 10 other league clubs
Can´t even compare

Mancini's future

Having a discussion at local with a few fellow City fans (& a Spud), does everyone think with talk of Mourinho coming to Prem that whether Mancini wins lge or not that he will go if Jose is wanting a move to us?

In main we all thought if Mancini wins lge he stays, one of the lads said he'd stay regardless of winning lge, even if Mourinho is available. The Spud thought if we win scrape the lge title by a point or two he'd get the chop, which to me is bs.

Basically does Mourinho becomin available and City one of the teams who could meet his demands change the position Mancini will be in at end of season?

The next team Mourinho manages in England will be the rags. I'm not a gambling man but I'd definitely put money on that.

Re: Mancini's future

Talking honestly, I think if we are pipped to the league and Jose quits Madrid, our owners might have their heads turned.

However, I do think we will win the league and it will be a non issue. Wont stop there being a million articles in the press between now and summer about a possible Mou>City move though.

Re: Mancini's future

our owners wouldnt touch him has he goes against everything the owners believe in ie not bringing bad press and ruining the image of theclub jose is a winner but he too far up his own arse and thinks its all about him and not the club

And adding on to this^, I would love to see Jose and Bob go head to head as managers, my money would be on our Bob every day :)
