I wouldn't want us to sign Pepe either!

Lol.

so what happens if we come in 2nd and that Barca guy becomes CEO?

Hopefully stick with Bobby, wouldn't want fucking Rafa Benitez or something.

With Mourinho, any success with City would be his doing (it's part of his pedigree, right?) Forget about the project & "making history with Manchester City" which is, acc to loads of players, why they came (along with wages).

Players pov: Balo gone, as much as for Mancini as b/c of Mourinho. Don't see Silva and an extension. IDK how Silva feels about Mou, but acc to Valencia president, it was Mou who said no. Would he want to play for a manager who "rejected" him? He He seems a loyal guy and Silva credits Mancini for being persistent and bringing him to England. Maybe with Mou gone, he'd like to go back to Spain and see if RM would want him then. RM rivalries with Yaya/Barca, Sergio/Ath Madrid-who knows, they might not be too bothered. But I'd love to be a fly on the wall and see what players *really* think about Mourinho. We'll never know.

If City win the PL, it should be a moot point. Even if it is a once in a lifetime chance for Mourinho. Why mess with success brought on by stability? This could be the start of a dynasty given time.

Its a shame Modric disagrees.

I think Mou was talking about stuff like fanbase and history. If you live in London for a while you get to realize just how many fans Spurs actually have.

Mod was obviously moved by different considerations like the fact they were willing to triple his wages and offer Champs League football. I don't think anyone at Spurs blames him for having his head turned by that offer.

So what - you´ve got a catchment area of 12 zillion people and TWO PL clubs in Norff Larnden
Gtr Manchester - 2.5 m inhabitants - 4 PL clubs AND about 10 other league clubs
Can´t even compare

I wasn't comparing. Mourinho was talking about London clubs anyway in the context of what a struggle it was to make Chelsea a serious force.

Yeah exactly. Too many people on here have a small time mentality. If we want to grow to become a top club, stability is priority. Look at where chopping and changing has gotten chelsea. Look at the progress of our club as a whole and you can see how much mancini has positively affected the environment of the club. We only added 3 players in this transfer window - one just as a replacement for carlos. Pretty much the same team as last year. But playing the best football of our lives and some say even comparable to Barcelona. Of course, silva is the conductor of that kind of play but mancini is the composer. And what he has done at this club has been brilliant. I dont want to break this stability in search of short-term success and pleasure. So what if we win the champions league and league three years in a row. Mourinho will have left by then. Then who will we get to replace him? AVB?

You're taking what he says too seriously. Especially considering in his first season in England he destroyed all comers, winning the league with a record 95 points, 12 points above second placed Arsenal who went undefeated the season before and 43 points above the mighty Spurs (who coincidently came below "ickle City").

I think it's common knowledge that Mourinho is nailed on for U****d when Taggart finally departs. He'll have some say in recruiting his own replacement and he's one of the only people with the bollocks to walk in to that job like he's the best they've ever had. Guardiola is too loyal to Barca to leave and they've got no need to sack him. Mourinho will want to win La Liga with Real Madrid first and they're well clear of Barca at the moment.

I'm happy with Roberto at City although Mourinho would be my replacement if he left of his own accord.

I can see fergie leaving them lot at the end of the season if they win the league again, that would make it a nice round 20 times plus he could alter his 'not in my lifetime' speech to say he meant in his managerial lifetime.

I really can see him quitting the ragsif they win the title this year, leaving the post open for Mourinho.

I think we can win the Premiership this season so that's a minimum of one more season that red nosed drunk remains in the charge at The Swamp! It's got to be Mourinho at U****d. No-one else has the bollocks to walk in to that job and do it despite a number of Managers being up for the challenge.

If Mancini doesn't win the league, then we should sack him and bring in Mourinho. We'd be absolute idiots not to.

I don't always pick up on dry humour or sarcasm so I'm presuming this is the same. You've backed Mancini throughout! Personally, I want the Premiership because of how long we've been up there this season but 2nd won't be a failure because it's progression from last season.
