I don't think Mancini will get the sack regardless if we win the league or not, he's their man and sacking him after doing so well (and we have done very well) would sent out the wrong image and I think image plays a part in the owners thinking, the fact his potential replacement is Mourinho is not important, as we are making progress as it is.

One good argument for bringing in Mourinho is that it would give people a legitimate reason to hate us, rather than just because we're rich and going places....
Mourinho will piss on any club's traditions and do things his way - will the rag fans like that? Real Madrid's have a love/hate relationship with him, love because he gets results and has them ahead of Barca in the league, hate because he has shunned the club's traditions and style of play.
Homegrown players will probably become a thing of the past, he hasn't blooded in any homegrown players of note that I can remember at Chelsea, Inter, or Real - he likes to buy the best and also add a number of steely characters, some of whom are not fashionable players but do a job (like Altintop right now at Real). We may as well close our academy if he comes here, Chelsea did a large scale youth recruitment after Roman took over and not one was given a chance by Jose that I can think of. Guidetti, Suarez, Rekik, Razak, etc. - goodbye.
I don't fear the rags having him because it's hard to improve on what Ferguson has done domestically, however you have to think Mourinho could improve their European trophy record, which is something Ferguson has underachieved with probably due to his very British tactics that don't always work as effectively in Europe.

I woud have thought his style of play would suit rags as they`re dirty anyway so no change there
