I am not a huge fan of offering your ticket to someone else so you get the loyalty points and they get a ticket. That in effect could be taking a ticket away from someone else who was waiting patiently in the queue, joined the cup scheme etc..

As it happens I think they are out on the demand for this one.

How are people getting there? Spike trip -200 ish, Thomas Cook 200 ish Singapore airlines 200 ish, Easy jet 150 ish Lufthansa 150 ish.

Thats 900 or so

How are the rest getting there?

We couldnt sell anfield last year when pushing for 4th!

Depends what level of importance loyalty points are.. I have offered my ticket genuinely because I cannot get there. I am not interested in the loyalty points. I have offered my ticket to someone who may miss out as they do not have enough points or are not on the cup scheme. Can't see the issue MV

The issue as MV states is that it potentially takes away a ticket from someone else in the queue and gives the ticket to someone who by rights shouldn't get one based on the criteria. If people can't go, don't get a ticket and it automatically goes to those next in the queue.

in an ideal world then yes but we don't live in an ideal world. I will get a ticket but wont go. I have offered it to Eastland blue who doesn't have enough points. He is giving me face value. Not fair on the next person I agree but everyone knew if they didn't sign up people who did get priority..

You don't but the club want guaranteed money. Chill out.

So City are basically telling loyal supporters that, in this current financial climate, that if they don't guarantee the club money, without knowing the prices (CL), they can't get a ticket?

One of our lot has been watching city for 30+ years, has 6,400 loyalty points (went gold) and can't get a ticket for Munich or possibly other Euro aways because he didn't guarantee money to the club by not joining the scheme.

You tell him that this system is correct and he shouldn't qualify for a ticket.

Money, money, money...it's all fucking shit and City can shove it up their arse.

Liam-A question for you..Please can you specify what loyalty is? Its all a fucking myth.I was in the forces for 8 yrs. Got to maybe 5 games per season, but still shelled out for my season ticket without fail every year....Are you more loyal than me because you are older or have more points..Peoples circumstances are different and to say the club have got it wrong is a little naive.

I don't really have a meaning for it and I wasn't really saying that...I was just saying that this person clearly should qualify for a ticket even though he hasn't joined the scheme.

Now I could turn this question on you...you were in the forces for 8 years and during that time, could you have said to someone (no one in particular) who had gone week in week out that you deserve a ticket as much as he did?

You could say 'yeah, I do, my circumstances are different so I deserve a ticket' and he'd have said 'well I've done every single game, so I deserve one more than you do'.

Everyone has different circumstances, as you said but it's certainly not naive to think someone with 6,400 points and no scheme deserves a Munich ticket.

Yes but as you state, this is good for eastland blue but not so good for whoever misses out on the ticket he gets. It's queue jumping and that's the issue however you dress it up.

It is a genuine offer and have had plenty of interest. I am totally not bothered about loyalty points. My boy who is 11 is only gold and not on any of the cup schemes. He has 2010 pts. We go to all games together that we can get a ticket for away (as I said,Wigan,Villa,Blackburn) If I was that arsed I would have put him on all 3 schemes especially at the prices but no point for him.

The ticket is available as I said. Why let it go to waste when someone may need one ticket and I fall into the criteria to enable someone to go.True I get the points but that is not my doing that has always been the case. I know people who did the cup offer last year where you got 100pts per ticket(correct me if I am wrong) and didn't even attend. I will purchase collect and then arrange handover of ticket at next home game...

The club clearly stated members in the cup scheme get preference-No hiding that.

Because lets say the top 3000 fans on a loyalty points basis all decide not to go.

They all sell their tickets to whoever regardless of points etc.

All 3000 then get more points and so pull further away from the rest.

Fan 3001 is sitting waiting for the criteria to go down to his level. It doesnt, he misses out whilst someone gets one who might go to 3 games a season.

I know it goes on but i dont particularly agree with it.

I am sure your offer is very genuine and well meaning but in general thats what sales criteria is for, to give people lower down the ladder a chance to get a ticket and then build their own points up. What you do and what others do stops that happening.

I am of the opinion that if you are a blue you deserve a ticket as much as the next person. If you wanted one that badly why not sign up to the cup scheme? i just dont get it

Ok there's the door.

City aren't telling anyone they can't have a ticket. They are telling people that those guaranteeing their money on the scheme get priority. You we're told all this at the time the semi criteria came out.

I agree with you mate but the only way to do that would for the club to sell tickets with official packages only...You get the tickt when you book the travel. This stops what I am doing. I wouldn't buy a ticket knowing I had to shell out 250 in the knowledge that I can't go due to work commitments. Problem solved but then you are dictating to people which the club will never do

No one "deserves" as in they "have a god given right to one" no.

The club specified priority (that's the key word here) to those on the scheme.

If you're so upset for this guy, let him use your ticket, you're on the CL scheme you say.

If you sign up to the Cup Scheme and get preferential treatement, how is that diffrent to signing up to a season ticket and getting priority?

Just curious.
