I wonder if Ake does leave whether we will go for another 4th choice or go for a partner for Dias like kounde and have stones and laporte as the back up.

Fofana or konsa would be good young options but probably be more that what we get for Ake.

There is zero rumours of a CB.. I cant see what its gonna be really at that level. And everybody on here seems to hate Pau Torres and hes gonna be much more expensive than that to be the 4th CB? he wont do that 5 months before a WC.

Edit: I love Konsa, bring him in if hes not the next big thing at Villa any longer then. Hes right footed though.

If the Ake money allows us to go and get Cucurella for little to no difference then that is an upgrade imo.

If Zinchenko leaves then perhaps that money is reinvested for a CB or we go with what we have. Likelihood of 3 senior CB's being injured at any one time is low and Rodri and Phillips will be the emergency options.

I am not so sure. If we buy cucurella and Zin stays I would expect us to go with what we have and utilise Phillips/Rodri and Walker as the 4th CB. We don’t need 4 CB.
