Following on from what Ballus said this could be stage 1 of 3
1. City lose Ake
2. City sign Ake replacement
3. City sign Cucurella
If it’s not then go straight to 3
Or it could be two dudes guessing shit and getting some of it right.

Just 100m and he is yours!
I like Ake but I think we will have robbed them for £50m+. People forget he's been quite poor for a season and a half and only really looked good for a few months (where he got injured again). Very injury prone and often had a goal costing mistake in him
Take the money, get someone else and cucurella and call it a summer
I always thought there was something fishy about that Kounde.I didn't know that about Kounde. He'd be the one for me. Rapid and has the leap of a salmon, reminiscent of a young Micah.
Doubt he'll come though given competition for places.
Probably won't happen but if we got 50 or 55 million for Ake, Koundes release clause is 65 million pounds. Can play as an orthodox right back and centre back wants to leave Sevilla as well
yes he has. there were times where playing him seemed unthinkable because we'd always have a bad game defensively when he was on the pitch. recency biasHe has ot been poor for a.season and a half. You are just making that up now, to suit the arguement of selling him. Nobody is forgetting anything, are just changing the narrative, and hoping nobody will remember otherwise.
Well that would be an improvement on 95% of the posters on BM.Or it could be two dudes guessing shit and getting some of it right.
It feels a bit weird that we're stalling on Cucurella and waiting for the Ake situation to be resolved before we move (if what Sam Lee and Bollus are saying is true).
Surely signing a new CB isn't linked to Cucurella?
We sold Torres in January for around £50m, we've already sold Jesus for £45m, Sterling set to go for £50m and we've sold a few of the younger lads too (Bazuna, Porto, Lavia etc). That's around £200m made in sales already and if we sell Ake that's another £50m +. We've spent £90m so far (add another £15m-£20m if you include Alvarez). Surely we can afford to spend another £100m + even with agent fees etc accounted for. We have never made as much money in sales as now, so does seem a bit strange that we're stalling a bit.
i fail to see what cucurella has to do with ake? we were going for cucurella anyway this summer while ake was here? If ake leaves then he will be replaced and we will still get cucurella?

Didn't we lose a shed load during the first year of Covid something like over £200m. Then last year broke even so even with the Covid loss allowances we still need to recoup some money for this year to satisfy FFP.It feels a bit weird that we're stalling on Cucurella and waiting for the Ake situation to be resolved before we move (if what Sam Lee and Bollus are saying is true).

Ya a bit wierd that. But personally feel we will get Cucurella this summer regardless
Him and then the CB replacement and that's our summer done
Come on PSG

Sorry mate. I recently joined this forumHow dare you have a life and not spend all your time on this forum.
You should know all the inside jokes! ;)
Johnny Evans, mate. The F stands for flippin.
That's fair enough if that is the case, but we've been linked with Haaland, Phillips and Cucurella for a few months now, which was probably earmarked as a £130m-£150m incoming budget.No.. its not strange at all.
Haaland has a release clause which can be removed by a new contract. So we're probably thinking 2 years ahead when we offer him a new contract and have the money for a raise to compete against the Spanish Inquisition.
City don't think short term generally!
