I hope Newcastle drives Ten Haag nuts and he spews bile about "Not In My <how you say> Lyftymz" and "The Noizy Northumberz".

Phil Mickelson now being accused of being in Al Quaeda for playing in the Liv Invitational, a golf tournament owned by the same investment fund who own Newcastle.

He’s literally had to come out and say he does indeed have sympathy for 9/11 victims.

It’s getting ridiculous now. This “sportwashing” buzzword bingo thrown around by the virtue signalling mob undermines any legitimate debate about these big foreign investment funds.

A Newcastle-supporting mate at work was bemoaning the fact that when they show an interest in a player, the fee increases by £5 million.

I told him that was/is exactly what we’ve had to put up with for the last 14 years.

Welcome to our world.
Or in some cases you read fees of 30 odd million for one team... but 60m if we want to buy the same player!

There were posters on here, who said that Newcastle had made a huge mistake in appointing Howe, but as I and others pointed out, he’d never had the budget nor the players to make Bournemouth into anything other than a team that was continually scrapping against relegation.

I thought it was remarkable that he kept them in the Premier League for as long as he did.
Yes. Howe is a very good manager and we are about to find out just what his level is. He will have a decent budget and they will give him time. Provided there is no unwarranted interference with team matters, Howe will do very well. Top 4 within
3/5 years a distinct possibility.

24 hours apart, in the old first division:

I remember that Coventry match. We were walking up the road Wilbraham Road in Chorlton going to the match when a Coventry supporters coach pulled over so the driver could ask directions. We were about 13 and some of the lads on the coach were giving us some shit so we sent them to OT. We thought it was hilarious when the coach turned left down Withington Road like we'd said. Little things but it amused us.

It’s pathetic.

The Saudi govt regularly capture and behead members of Al-Qaeda.

In all fairness the wifes best friend is married to a bar code fan ( fair play no edge to the lad ) and he's crying the same shit.
Vienna he is a season ticket holder so gets more respect than rag mates who only go to the pub for sky TV ;-)

The geordies seem to be struggling to buy. No surprise really. Paying a premium comes with their new found wealth. FFP will be all over them making up shit to stop them competing.

But hey, anyone that has a gulf state funding them should be able to get the deals done without losing their heads. Welcome to the bias, backstabbing, corrupt world of high stakes football. Operation Stop the Geordies is underway. Signed the red cunts who fear competition.

To be fair, the window has only been open for a few days.

You might have an argument if we reach mid-August and they still haven’t signed many players.

Fair enough. We all went through it and we got lucky with a few buys. Batten down the hatches as it will be a bumpy few years until you get established in the top 4/6. Wait until you take the place of spurs, Arsenal or united.

Good manager in place. Give him time but ultimately he will need replaced once you make the jump to 4th.

To be fair in the early days we made some mistakes too - will take them 2 or 3 years to try and become a force in the PL and develop the scouting network and infrastructure to recruit wisely

And yet Nunez was agreed at £35m to join them in January yet has now gone for £85m

That €40 million to Benfica , €45 million to the agent who kicks back €10 million to the Benfica board and another €10 million to John Henry through a shell company. The whole deal funded by an offshore loan through another shell company, which is, surprisingly owned by a John Henry.
The only reason any American is involved in the EPL is to launder money and avoid tax.

They need a manager as good as Bobby Mancini was in 2010 as well as buying players of the calibre of Dave Silva, Yaya and Sergio.
Fck me the planets really did align for us!

They will get the benefit of new owner status for about three years, so if they buy now ffp should not be too much of worry.
