Tevez was seen giving Stadium Tours at Coms today. He scared the little uns' unfortunately. Real Madrid ruined football again by buying the Benjani/Zin Zimmer combination - which means he'll probably smile from an offside position whilst proclaiming Madrid are going to sign Pele...which to be fair can't be ruled out. This opens the door for Barcelona to have a clear run at David Villa, who inturn had an illegal i mean informal meeting with Barca in McDonalds or a restaurant of similar Ilk. Valencia chairman found out about the meeting and went all Arnie. David Villa had no choice but to head for the chopper back to Valencia (the metaphorical chopper), but it's believed he will probably tell Valencia that he wants to go to Barca. Which funnily enough opens the door for Eto'o to kick over some bins outside the Nou Camp before confirming he is coming in to replace the most famous man in Turkey (hands in the air vassell is here). Juan Laporta has decided he wants to do what is best for Barca and Eto'o but hasn't yet declared what that is. He also apparently wants a fight with Eto'o's agent.

All in all...uneventful but it's likely to be like that for a few days.

Amazing summary :)

Also, there's over 10,000 posts in the Tevez thread which means he'll sign any moment now!

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

The only thing to do with Eto'o has been Laporta saying he is saddened by whats happened and that Villa has said "i only want to go to Barca" Which would probably mean Eto'o is more likely....

Either way no need to sweat Eto'o, Tevez and Lescott are all on there way...

I think the problem is mate that many people said much the same in January about Kaka, and look what happened.

Personally, I would not be surprised if we signed all three. Nor would I be completely shocked if 1 or more of them slipped through our fingers.

Will I be stunning if Tevez announces tomorrow his signature with Arsenal? Nope.
Will I be amazed if Eto'o decides to stay put. Nah.
And Moyes manages to hang on to Lescott? Quite possible.

Jeez i thought i was a pessimist!

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Today there has been some further sniping between the Eto camp and Barcelona and Mark Hughes continues to exude confidence.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

The only way Everton will hang onto Lescott is if we dont make an offer. The Tevez point is strange, if you believe anything you read he was nailed on to join us. The fact we here nothing now is worrying, hopefully they are ironing out his contract details, 80/20 in favour of joining us.
The Eto transfer looks like a battle of wits between the club who want a transfer fee and the player who want his cut of the fee as a loyalty bonus. Eto can gamble on staying and leave the new Barca contract offer gathering dust in the board room. Because he can leave for free next season Eto effectively holds all the aces, he can join us on good wages, he can negotiate a nice big contract with an Italian team for next season because his potential fee can be used as wages instead. Eto is 50/50 i would say.

Thats the point your article becomes silly.

Dont bet against it,its certainlly not "silly"

Ive spoken to a couple of Everton players down the years and theyd die for that wee ginger man

By all accounts he can be a right nasty fucker with them but they love him

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

just dont get why lapporta is deeply saddened,he was the one in the first place saying eto'o cant turn down citys offer..now he is back tracking because of this loyalty bonus and just trying to make himself look good in media..think we have a good chance of getting him tho

Genius! PMSL.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Give barca the £13 mill to give to eto'o and call it a down payment for our bid for messi in 2 years time. instead of a £100 mill we will only pay £87 mill......job done...

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

our hopes of getting eto'o look better than a few days ago now reports of that barca bid for villa!

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Meanwhile, Valenica president Manuel Llorente has rubbished renewed rumours suggesting that his club are in talks with Barca over a deal for Spain striker David Villa.

He told Europa Press: "Valencia is not negotiating and has not negotiated with Barcelona, at all."
