Delph's just coming back from a month long injury and as has already been said because he is the only cover to Fernandinho it makes sense for Pep to a) do everything to keep him fit and b) try to find other LB solutions.

I'd be amazed if anyone thinks Zinchenko would start a cup final or big KO game over Delph if it were next week.

Definitely,pretty obvious he's protecting a fairly injury prone player in Delph for big games with a hectic run of fixtures. FFS even Mourinho would see Delph is on a different planet to Zinchenko when it comes to playing left back.

Agree , i wouldnt pick Zinchenko ahead of Delph in a cup final , but we played Bournemouth at home today which is a slightly different proposition , just disagree in your opinion that Zinchenko is a "shit" defender , thats a harsh assessment.

That's just some totured logic.

1. He is NOT the 'only' backup to Dihno. That's not even a legit claim. Unless you don't believe Pep.


2. It's simply rotation. Pep has 2 trusted players at LB. Just like he has 2 trusted players at RB. Rested 2 and played the other 2.
